Cowboy Classic winner Owen Dimm

Beckley WV (November 2nd 2024) The Carolina Sprint Tour ran the inaugural Cowboy Classic at the Beckley Motor Speedway in Beckley WV. The Carolina Sprint Tour would like to thank and recognize our partners and officials who made this race possible. GSR Chassis, Barrier Fencing, Hellraizer Jacks, Racing Electronics, Dirt Rich TV, Radical Race Gear, and Racing Electronics.

The Cowboy Classic was created by the Carolina Sprint Tour to be a showcase RaceSaver event celebrating the life of our series owner and showman series driver, Sean Vardell who lost his life in a motorcycle accident earlier this year. We could always count on Sean to “Cowboy Up” and race with his against the wall excitement at every CST race. He will be missed by all who knew him!

Through happy and sad tears, we remembered him well on Saturday night with a race that drew 36 of the best RaceSaver drivers from 9 states converging on the always exciting and fast Beckley Motor Speedway.

Owen Dimm from Miffintown PA lead all 30 laps and holding off challenges from Aston PA’s David Brown Jr, and CST regular Jadan Bowling of Holden Beach NC.

Brown Jr. took his shots at Dimm in lapped traffic as well as on restarts, but Dimm had the speed and racing skills to counter each advancement. A last lap turn 4 pass advanced Bowling around Brown Jr. by a .003 margin at the line.

Fourth place Jeremy Kornbau (Hermitage PA) was followed by Stoutville OH’s Wyatt Justice, Jeff Weaver, Rod Henning, Tyler Graves, and our Hard Charger, Kasey Weaver who started 23rd before driving his way to 9th, and 10th place finishing Kenny Heffner. Jarrett Cavalet, Kevin Nagy, Caleb Coffman, CST regulars Ben McCall, George Loux, and Jake McLain, the 2023 CST Champion, all ran together, followed by Justin Clark, Dustin Young, Blooming IN’s John Paynter Jr., and Rich Wisdo, former CST Champion. Derek Treece, Braeden Varner, Dillan Baldwin and John Brain finished out the 24 A Main starters.

We’d like to thank all 36 entrants for the Cowboy Classic, and we look forward to seeing you all next season!
