Traditional Races, Two New Races & the Big One Returns
Martinsville, VA (December 10, 2024) – 14 races, at 13 tracks, in three different states make up the slate of races on the 2025 schedule for the SMART Modified Tour powered by Pace-O-Matic.
The announcement made today comes as many teams embark on the “Circle City” of Indianapolis (IN) this week for the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) show.
“This schedule shows the strength of the SMART Modified Tour powered by Pace-O-Matic,” said Chris Williams, Series Director. “All of the tracks we raced at last year are back because their fans and our drivers enjoy the races at those facilities. We are building traditional races that we hope people are wanting to return to see for years to come. Plus, we are excited to return to two tracks to our schedule this year as well.”
Fans of the Palmetto State will be excited to open the season with two race dates in South Carolina. Florence Motor Speedway, in the northeastern part of the state, holds the traditional season opener, with the Zack Brewer Memorial, at Florence Motor Speedway (Timmonsville, SC) on Saturday, March 1. The SMART Modifieds will make a return to the Anderson Motor Speedway, in central South Carolina, for the second event on Saturday, March 8.
The biggest race on the 2025 slate comes next as the “King of the Modifieds” returns to Virginia’s South Boston Speedway on Saturday, March 22. More details for that event will be announced soon.
Three more races will round out an aggressive spring schedule. North Carolina owns the next two stops, at Orange County Speedway (Rougemont, NC) on Saturday, April 5 and Hickory Motor Speedway (NC) on Saturday, April 12. A soon to be announced race on May 23 will be the final race before the summer hits.
The SMART Modified Tour always respects modified racing at Bowman Gray Stadium on Saturday’s during the summer months. With “The Stadium’s” off week for the 4th of July weekend, it will allow the SMART Mods to celebrate Independence Day for America on Saturday, July 5, at Caraway Speedway (Sophia, NC) with the Revolutionary 99.
The “Beach Trip” is back on the racing card for the SMART Modified Tour on Labor Day weekend. New River All American Speedway (Jacksonville, NC) will host a race on Friday, August 29 and Carteret County Speedway (Swansboro, NC) will see the Mods hit the track on Saturday, August 30.
The schedule heats up from there with three races on Saturdays in the month of September, at Caraway Speedway on September 6, Dominion Raceway (Spotsylvania, VA) on September 13, and a stop at Lonesome Pine Motorsports Park (Coeburn, VA) on September 20 for the first time since 1999.
Tri-County Speedway is scheduled to hold the penultimate race on the 2025 schedule, the “Gary Freeman Hoosier 99” on Saturday, October 11.
For the second-consecutive year, the famed North Wilkesboro Speedway will host the season finale for the SMART Modified Tour powered by Pace-O-Matic on Saturday, October 18.
More details regarding each race for the 2025 season will be announced soon, including the Zack Brewer Memorial, on Saturday, March 1 at Florence Motor Speedway.
All races are streamed live on FloRacing, the official streaming broadcast partner of the SMART Modified Tour powered by Pace-O-Matic.
