VERNON, NY – The busiest North Region in the history of the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco has a new title sponsor.

HYTORC of New York and the series have partnered for the upcoming 2025 STSS Modified North Region. The newly renamed HYTORC of New York North Region gets underway in May at N.Y.’s Accord Speedway.

“We are very proud to partner with HYTORC of New York,” STSS founder Brett Deyo said. “Over the last 11 seasons, we have built a brand in the industry. Likewise, HYTORC of New York has developed a strong presence in our sport. We hope to increase that awareness in the racing community.”

HYTORC of New York is a “one stop shop” for all torque tool and industrial bolting needs, offering rentals, sales, solutions and training as well as on-site torque wrench calibration and repair of all manual pneumatic, hydraulic and battery powered torque wrenches.

“Being a former racer myself at Flemington and my hometown of New Egypt, New Jersey, I respect and appreciate what my longtime friend Brett Deyo has done for Northeast racing, and it’s been amazing to watch him build the premier Modified racing series in the country over the last 10 years,” HYTORC of New York owner Anthony Knighten said.

“I spent 15 years working in professional racing in Indianapolis and always kept tabs on Brett’s endeavors from afar. As I now reside in Central New York as a business owner, it’s an honor to work together to build both of our businesses and support the racers.”

HYTORC of New York will present a Crew Chief of the Year Award for the series in ’25. The recipient will take home $500 cash and a manual clicker torque wrench ($300 value). The Crew Chief of the Year will be selected based on the following criteria: professionalism, performance, consistency, lack of mechanical failures and DNFs, cleanliness and appearance of the car, crew and equipment.

“Years ago, during my Sprint Car tenure, I was fortunate to receive the All-Star Circuit of Champions Crew Chief of the Year Award, so it means a lot to me to help create and support the award for the mechanics busting their asses out there,” Knighten added.

The 2025 STSS HYTORC of New York North Region includes 14 points-paying events at 11 different tracks in New York State, Vermont and Quebec, Canada. The complete schedule can be found at the following link: https://www.shorttracksuperseries.com/schedules/2025?id=28281
