Lancaster, NY (January 13, 2025) – Lancaster Motorplex is thrilled to announce the return of Nu-Way Auto Parts as the title sponsor for their NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour event. The race, scheduled for Saturday, July 12, promises an unforgettable day of racing action at one of the Tour’s most unique venues.

“We’re excited to once again partner with Lancaster Motorplex for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour,” said Mike Maggiore, Director of Operations for Nu-Way Auto Parts’ Buffalo location. “Supporting grassroots racing is core to Nu-Way’s community focus, and we’re thrilled to be part of this tradition.”

Nu-Way Auto Parts, with stores in Buffalo, Elmira, and Erie, is a proud member of the Hahn Automotive family.

“This race brings together the exceptional talent of the Modified Tour and Western New York’s passionate fan base,” added Maggiore. “Nu-Way Auto Parts is honored to help make it a highlight of the season for our customers and community.”

The Rochester, NY-based auto parts retailer has served as the primary sponsor of the event since its inception in 2021.

“The return of Nu-Way Auto Parts as the title sponsor underscores the strong partnership we’ve built over the years,” said Mike Myers, owner of Speed Enterprises and special consultant to Lancaster Motorplex. “Their support is instrumental in delivering a top-tier racing experience for both drivers and fans.”

Lancaster Motorplex is one of only three local short tracks on the schedule paying over $12,000 to win. The others are New Smyrna Speedway and Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park. Additionally, the tail end of the field will receive a season-high payout during the Nu-Way Auto Parts 150.

“Thanks to Nu-Way’s support, Lancaster Motorplex will pay $3,000 to take the green flag,” Myers added. “This backing is crucial for attracting a competitive field of cars to the event.”

The July 12 date marks the earliest the Modified Tour event has been held at Lancaster and represents the official mid-point of the Tour schedule.

Two-time and defending race winner Austin Beers of Northampton, PA, is expected to return to defend his crown and aim for a third consecutive victory at the historic Lancaster track. The only other driver to win the Nu-Way Auto Parts 150 is local standout Patrick Emerling of Orchard Park, NY.

A full racing card on Saturday, July 12 will also feature several of the track’s weekly series, including the Insinger Performance/VP Race Fuels Sportsman, Monroe Extinguisher Street Stocks, and Late Models.

Fans can also look forward to the signature touches that make Lancaster Motorplex synonymous with summer racing excitement.

Tickets will go on sale later this year. Teams and fans should also watch for announcements regarding discounted hotel accommodations in Lancaster.
