NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Debut, Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series championship chase on the card for new year
Teddy Hodgdon Racing announced today their schedule for the 2025 season in the No. 55 Tour-Type Modified – one that will bring the team up and down the East Coast. For the first time in his career, driver Teddy Hodgdon will make five NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour (NWMT) starts. His debut will take place at the Icebreaker, March 30, at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park.
Hodgdon will compete in all three NWMT events at Thompson as part of the FloRacing Connecticut Challenge – a three-race series that offers $25,000 in total cash. Team owners who compete in all three Thompson events that have not competed on the Tour in the last three years, or ever, are eligible for the bonus cash. Hodgdon will also run NWMT events at both North Wilkesboro Speedway (May 18) and Martinsville Speedway (October 23).
Hodgdon will also return to the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series to compete in all 10 events for the championship. The Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series season includes events at Thompson Speedway (March 29 & May 14), Thunder Road Speedbowl (May 25), White Mountain Motorsports Park (June 7), Seekonk Speedway (June 25 and October 25), Stafford Speedway (July 16 and September 27), Star Speedway (August 2) and New London-Waterford Speedbowl (August 23).
Hodgdon will also run part-time in the SK Modified division at Stafford, returning to the No. 28 owned by Ray & Deb Smith.
After scoring his first two Tour-Type Modified career wins last year, Hodgdon is ready for a major step up in 2025, with a challenging schedule on tap.
“I’m excited to say the least,” Teddy Hodgdon said. “The opportunity to race on the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour is something all Modified racers look forward to doing in their career when coming up through the ranks at local short tracks. Between everything we are running this year, including chasing the championship on the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series, and a return to Stafford’s SK Modified division part-time, I can’t say I’ve ever been more excited for a race season.”
