The new season is right around the corner for short-track veteran Woody Pitkat. Officially announced Tuesday, Pitkat will return to compete full-time with the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series in 2025. The series has jumped to a 10-race schedule for the new year, spread across seven different tracks from March to October.

Pitkat will drive for Jett Motorsports on the Tri-Track Series – a team owned by Jariah Roderick and Steve Rollins. The team will run eight of the 10 events with the No. 88, sponsored by Infinity Homes, Gunsmoke Stables and USNE Power.

For both of the Stafford Motor Speedway events, Pitkat will drive the Holmes Motorsports No. 8 – which he won at Stafford last year, in his first year with that team. The decision to stick with the No. 8 machine for the two Stafford events is because Pitkat will also compete in all Open Modified events at Stafford with that car. This will allow the team to have consistency with one car at that specific track.

Between the two, Pitkat will compete for the title on the Tri-Track circuit. Cam McDermott will continue to crew chief Pitkat for all events.

Jett Motorsports co-owner Roderick is excited for the opportunity to chase victories with the new group.

“When the chance came up to work with Woody, it was something Steve and I sat down to talk about right away,” Roderick said. “We’re excited for the venture to compete in the competitive Tri-Track Series. We are looking forward to a great year and we hope to come out of the box strong at Thompson with the Icebreaker.”

Pitkat says most of the team members will remain the same, so it should be a seamless transition.

“It’s exciting to have Jariah and Steve so pumped up,” Pitkat said. “They both have a passion for winning and it’s a great partnership for all of us. The Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series jumping to 10 races has all of us excited to be able to visit some new tracks and some marquee events over the course of the year. We’re hoping to be a contender for the title.”

The Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series season begins on Saturday, March 29 at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park for the Icebreaker. The series will also visit Thompson for the second race of the season on Wednesday, May 14. From there, Thunder Road International Speedbowl will host on Memorial Day weekend, May 25. White Mountain Motorsports Park (June 7), Seekonk Speedway (June 25, October 25), Stafford Motor Speedway (July 16, September 27), Star Speedway (August 2) and New London-Waterford Speedbowl (August 23) are also on the calendar.

Additional announcements about Pitkat’s 2025 race season are coming soon.
