NEW EGYPT, NJ – Canceled.
The 2025 points chase at New Egypt Speedway will have to wait another week to get under way.
A week full of rainfall has drenched the speedway grounds beyond repair in time for the April 5 night of racing.
“We wanted to wait out Friday to see how the track would dry,” Executive VP of Operations Chris Moore stated. “Unfortunately, we just don’t have enough time for it dry where we need it to.”
Attention will turn to April 12 for the points chase to kick off, with John Blewett Inc. carrying over to present the night of racing.
The Modifieds will headline the full night of racing on tap along with the Swagger Factory Apparel Crate Sportsman, Xtreme Diesel Performance, LLC. Street Stocks, Northeast Wingless Sprint Cars and Fastline Performance Rookies.
The entire event can be streamed LIVE on the New Egypt Speedway YouTube page (https://www.youtube.com/@NewEgyptSpeedway).
For the April 12 event, pit gates open at 3 p.m. with the grandstands unlocking at 4 p.m. Hot laps begin at 5 p.m. with racing to follow at 6 p.m.
