MODIFIED 50-LAP CHAMPIONSHIP PAYS $7500 TO WIN & $1000 TO START PLUS SPORTSMAN

CHASE FOR THE 2025 TRACK CHAMPIONSHIPS STARTS THIS SATURDAY NIGHT

BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – The chase for the 2025 track championships gets underway this Saturday night, when Grandview Speedway officially opens the gates to kick off a brand new season of competition.

The rescheduled season opening event planned for this Saturday, April 19, will be the 8th annual VP Racing Fuels Bruce Rogers Memorial Money Maker for Big/Small Block Modifieds. The race program will include qualifying events leading up to a 50-lap championship feature paying a cool $7500 to win as well as an outstanding $1000 to qualify and take the green flag in the main event.

The Opening Night program also includes a full show for the T.P. Truck Equipment 602 Sportsman with qualifying events and a 25-lap feature race.

The Opening Night program will be sanctioned by NASCAR and is the first point race of the new campaign for both the T.P. Trailer Modified and T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman divisions toward both the track and NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series Championships.

For the Bruce Rogers Memorial event, all drivers are welcome to compete as in years past, and if any driver is not a track regular, the Speedway will cover the cost of the $25 temporary NASCAR driver license for this one night of competition.

On April 19 the Pit gates open at 1 pm, Grandstand gates open at 4 pm, the Drivers meeting is at 4 pm, followed by the draw for position, then warm-ups at 5 pm, with qualifying starting at 6 pm.

Grandstand admission for Adults is $30, Students ages 10-15 with ID are $20, while ages 9 and under are admitted free of charge. Pit admission is $40 with a license and $45 without a license.

The championship chase in the T.P. Trailer Modified division has been controlled for the most part by three drivers since the turn of the century and into the 2000’s, with defending 2024 Champion Jeff Strunk scoring all eleven of his titles during this time period.

The all-time feature win leader at the Speedway Craig Von Dohren, captured nine of his leading thirteen track titles since the year 2000, while Duane Howard won three of his six championships during this time period.

Only two drivers have been able to break the streak of these three veteran drivers, with Mike Gular scoring the point Championship in 2018, while Brett Kressley was crowned Champion for the 2023 season.

These top champion drivers will be looking to lead the chase for the championship starting this Saturday night along with the other top point performers from last year including Jared Umbenhauer, Eddie Strada, Doug Manmiller, Louden Reimert, Tim Buckwalter, Ryan Watt, Kyle Smith, Ryan Grim, along with nearly three dozen drivers looking to score the 50-lap championship race win.

There may even be a few outsiders whose tracks are not open yet who may show up to challenge the Grandview competitors for the Brice Rogers Memorial honors.

The run to the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman championship will be wide open this year, as two-time and defending Champion Logan Watt is making the move to the T.P. Trailer Modified division.

All former T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman champions eventually made the move to the Modified division at some point in their careers or are still current T.P. Trailer Modified drivers including Jared Umbenhauer (3 time champ), Brett Kressley, Jordan Henn, Louden Reimert, Brad Brightbill, Kenny Gilmore, and Brian Hirthler (3 time champ).

Drivers who were top point finishers last season who will be in the hunt to win the title this year include Dylan Swinehart, Mike Schneck Jr., Brett Gilmore, Addison Meitzler, Adrianna Delliponti, Ryan Graver, Logan Bauman, Nathan Mohr, Jesse Landis, TJ Mayberry, and three dozen drivers who will attempt to win the Opening Night main event.

Next weekend will see Grandview Speedway hosting a two-day weekend of racing, with the Outlaw Racing Series leading off on Friday, April 25, with a program featuring Enduro/Vintage and Slingshot racing starting at 7 pm.

That event will be followed on Saturday, April 26 with a double-header including the T.P. Trailer Modifieds and the T. P. Truck Equipment Sportsman, along with the first Trivia Night of the year, with gates opening at 4 pm and racing starting at 6 pm.

Grandstand admission for Adults is $20, Students ages 10-15 with ID are $10, while ages 9 and under are admitted free of charge. Pit admission is $35 with a license and $45 without a license.
