NEW EGYPT, NJ – Practice Makes Perfect.
Following rainouts on the first two attempts at getting the points season underway at New Egypt Speedway, an impromptu practice took place Thursday, April 17 with fifty-two racecars piling in the pit area.
The Modifieds, Swagger Factory Apparel Crate Sportsman, XDP Street Stocks, Four Cylinders, Northeast Wingless Sprints (NEWS), Fastline Performance Rookies, 305-Winged Sprint Cars, and 360 Wingless Sprint Cars were all represented during the Thursday practice.
Neshanic Station, N.J.’s Matt Stangle posted the fastest time of the night for the Modifieds with a lap of 17.505 seconds around the 7/16ths-mile oval in the third practice session.
Pilesgrove Township, N.J.’s Ethan Bill paced the times for the Swagger Factory Apparel Crate Sportsman with a time if 18.233 in the third session
Attention now turns to the third attempt to kickoff the 2025 championship chase with the Short Load Concrete Points Opener at the D-shaped oval.
The Modifieds will headline the night of racing with the Swagger Factory Apparel Crate Sportsman, Four Cylinders, and Fastline Performance Rookies all on the racing card for the night.
The XDP Street Stocks will also be added to the program for a non-points event in an effort to make up for the two lost shows to open the season due to rain.
For the April 26 event, pit gates open at 3 p.m. with the grandstands unlocking at 4 p.m. Hot laps begin at 5 p.m. with racing to follow at 6 p.m.
Grandstand admission is $23 for adults, $20 for Seniors (65 and up), and $15 for Military w/ID and Teens (12-15). Kids 11 and under are admitted FREE.
Pit admission is $40 (w/o a license) and $30 (w/ a license).
