NORTH WILKESBORO, N.C. (May 2, 2025) – FaithFest Evangelistic Ministries, a non-profit organization which hosts a Christian music festival annually in Wilkesboro, N.C., will serve as the title sponsor of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour race during NASCAR All-Star Race week at North Wilkesboro Speedway.
The FaithFest Evangelistic Ministries 150 sponsored by Mercer Transportation is scheduled Sunday, May 18, at 2 p.m. and will be the first of three races on the final day of All-Star Week, followed by the NASCAR All-Star Open and the NASCAR All-Star Race. The 150-lap Modified event marks the third consecutive year the series has competed at North Wilkesboro and serves as the fourth stop on the 2025 NASCAR Modified Tour schedule.
FaithFest Evangelistic Ministries exists to reach the lost and revive the Church through gathering and going to where the Gospel is preached and the presence of God is encountered. Our mission is to offer faith-forming events and going to where God opens a door, giving people the opportunity to experience Jesus.
Each September, FaithFest draws thousands of attendees to Wilkes County and features musical performances by nationally known Christian artists. The organization also supports local Christian outreach efforts year-round.
“We are honored to partner with North Wilkesboro Speedway for the FaithFest 150 and are so grateful for the sponsorship of Brent Wooten and Mercer Transportation, which makes this opportunity possible,” said Craig Church, founder and director of FaithFest Evangelistic Ministries. “Through this partnership, we have multiple opportunities to share the hope of Jesus Christ with all who attend. It is a blessing to take the Good News of the Gospel to the racetrack and be part of what God is doing.”
Mercer Transportation, through the leadership of Brent Wooten, stated “There is no better place to share the love of Jesus than right here with the fans at North Wilkesboro Speedway, it’s my prayer that through this event, lives will be changed and people will experience a fresh and renewed relationship with Jesus Christ.” Wooten also extended heartfelt thanks to North Wilkesboro Speedway for presenting this incredible opportunity.
FaithFest Evangelistic Ministries will lead a Sunday morning service featuring live music from the Cody Ward Band, testimony from NASCAR Cup Series driver Michael McDowell. A longtime supporter of faith-based outreach in motorsports, McDowell is the 2021 Daytona 500 champion and a message of hope from Craig Church. The service will be located outside the front gate from 9:15 to 10:00 a.m., prior to gates opening. This service is open to all.
Ben Fuller, a Christian musician known for songs including “Who I Am,” will perform a pre-race concert at 1:15 p.m. before the FaithFest 150. Fuller’s music has charted on Christian radio and streaming platforms since the release of his debut album in 2022. Pre-race activities will also include a message of hope by the Church.
At 2 p.m., the open-wheel Modifieds will take the track for 150 laps of high-speed action, setting the stage for the NASCAR All-Star Open and the $1 million-to-win All-Star Race Sunday evening.
In 2024, Justin Bonsignore dominated the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour event at North Wilkesboro Speedway, leading 130 of 150 laps en route to the win. He went on to secure the 2024 NWMT Series championship.
NASCAR All-Star Race week will feature the most on-track action in the forty-year history of the event. In addition to all the NASCAR Cup Series activity, fans can enjoy zMAX CARS Tour feature races with Pro Late Models on Thursday (The Reverend Whiskey 75) and Late Model Stock Cars on Friday (Window World 100) night, along with the Window World 250 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series race and a Jake Owen concert presented by Raymer Oil on the frontstretch Saturday.
