USAC NON WING SPRINT NATIONAL TOUR & 358 MODIFIEDS SHINE IN THUNDER SERIES DOUBLE HEADER, TUESDAY, JUNE 17

BECHTELSVILLE, PA MAY 23, 2025 . . . . . . The 18^th Annual AMSOIL USAC Eastern Storm presented by Levan Machine & Truck Equipment will open at the Grandview Speedway on Tuesday night, June 17, the first of six consecutive nights of non-wing racing at six different tracks. This event, brought to you by Alpine Building Supply is the second race of the NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series and will showcase the nationally recognized USAC Touring Series. After time trials and qualifying events, the USAC Non-Wing Sprints will battle in the 40 lap Jesse Hockett Classic paying $6,000 to win. Also on the program are the always popular NASCAR 358 Modifieds also competing in heat race qualifiers leading up to a 30 lap feature paying $3,000 to the winner. Alpine Building Supply has posted a $2,000 bonus to any first time Thunder on the Hill Modified feature winner, making that victory worth $5,000 for just 30 laps. Modified driver Eric Kormann pulled off the win and the bonus in this event last year.

Advance tickets are now available for Tuesday, June 17 by calling 443 513 4456. Please speak clearly, provide your name and the number of tickets you need. Tickets may be paid for and picked up at the WILL CALL Window at 4:30 PM. Advance ticket holders may enter the grandstand at 4:30, thirty minutes before general admission tickets go on sale. Adult tickets are $35, children 6 to 11 are $10 and children 5 and under will be admitted for free. The pit fee is $45 and a license is not required.

In one of the first promotions of its’ kind, Alpine Building Supply will be selling a special edition of an Alpine Thunder on the Hill Racing Series shirt. The Alpine Thunder on the Hill Series Shirt will showcase a 410 Sprint, a Non-Wing 410 Sprint and a 358 Modified on the back with the Alpine Building Supply and Thunder on the Hill logos placed on the front of the shirt. In addition, all profits from the sale of these shirts will be donated to the Big Impact Group of Schuylkill County. Big Impact Group is a mentoring program helping Schuylkill County youth for over 35 years. Through the dedication of our volunteers and strong community support we are able to make this program successful.

The Alpine Thunder Series shirts will be sold at the Alpine Building Supply display at the Grandview Speedway at all Thunder on the Hill events. Based on availability, shirts will be sold at other locations where Alpine Building Supply will be on display. Shirts will be $20 up to XL and $25 for larger sizes. The NASCAR Modifieds are always a favorite on any Thunder Show. Eric Kormann is out to defend his win from 2024 and he’ll be challenged by expected entries Brett Kressley, Craig VonDohren, Brian Hirthler, Duane Howard, Jeff Strunk, Mike Gular and Billy Pauch to name a few. The NASCAR Modifieds will follow the weekly Grandview car specifications and rules.

The six race Eastern Storm will offer a $10,000 point fund courtesy of Levan Machine & Truck Equipment, a Berks County business. Some drivers expected to take part in the AMSOIL Eastern Storm is current point leader Kyle Cummins joined by Justin Grant, Daison Pursley, Logan Seavey, Jake Swanson, CJ Leary, Briggs Danner, Mitchel Moles, Robert Ballou and Chase Stockon just to name a few.

Mitchel Moles of Raisin City, CA is the defending Eastern Storm Champion and headlines a list of star studded National Non-Wing Sprint car drivers who were past Eastern Storm Champions. Emerson Axsom of Franklin, Indiana was the 2023 Eastern Storm Champ along with Logan Seavey of Sutter, CA in 2022. The “Mad Man” Robert Ballou of Rocklin, CA was the 2021 Champ. Due to the pandemic, the Eastern Storm did not take place in 2020 but in 2019 It was C.J. Leary of Greenfield, IN who won the Eastern Storm Title. The past champions list back to 2007 includes, 2017-2018 Chris Windon, Canton, IL, Bryan Clauson in 2016, Ballou won his first Eastern Storm Title in 2015 with Brady Bacon of Broken Arrow, OK sweeping the championship in 2014. It was Bryan Clauson again in 2012 and 2013, Levi Jones in 2010 and 2011, Cole Whitt in 2008 and 2009 and finally, Levi Jones won the inaugural Eastern Storm in 2007.

The 2025 Eastern Storm champion will earn $5,000 of the total $10,000 Levan Machine and Truck Equipment sponsored point fund. Watch for some race night activities to be announced to include USAC driver Meet & Greets at various tracks.
