NEW EGYPT, NJ – May Finale.
New Egypt Speedway (NES) closes out the month of May this Saturday, May 31 with a full racing card headlined by the Modifieds on Scout Night.
The Modifieds head into the final race of May with a heated battle at the top of the standings.
Frenchtown, N.J.’s Billy Pauch Jr. cemented his status as a New Egypt regular in 2025 with a late race pass to pick up the win this past Saturday night.
The win moved Pauch Jr. into third in the standings, 22 markers behind Pipersville, Pa.’s Danny Bouc for the top spot in the championship chase.
Ringoes, N.J.’s Ryan Godown, is second in the standings, just 10 points off Bouc’s pace.
The Swagger Factory Apparel Crate Sportsman also join the night racing with Cream Ridge, N.J.’s Pat Wall holding a slim four-point margin in the title hunt.
Pilesgrove Township, N.J.’s Ethan Bill, fresh off his first career NES victory, sits in second with New Egypt, N.J.’s Steve Davis and South Plainfield, N.J.’s Matt Ellert tied for third, just six points behind Wall.
The Xtreme Diesel Performance, LLC. (XDP) Street Stocks rejoin the action after a slow start to the year due to weather cancellations.
Wall, N.J.’s Rob Ormsbee won the lone points race of the season back on May 3 with Kory Fleming and Darren Cox completing the top three.
The Northeast Wingless Sprints (NEWS) return as well with Mick D’Agostino and Shea Wills tied atop the standings, each holding a win and a runner-up in their back pocket. Ron Pavia, a NEWS rookie, rounds out the top three.
The Fastline Performance Rookies will complete the card, with a pair of eight lap features on the schedule.
Both Hunter Ploski and Aiden Spencer sit at 116 points with a win and a runner-up finish to their names.

For the May 31 event, pit gates open at 3 p.m. with the grandstands unlocking at 4 p.m. Hot laps begin at 5:30 p.m. with racing to follow at 6:30 p.m.
Grandstand admission is $23 for Adults, $20 for Seniors, and $15 for Military w/ID and Teens 12-15. Kids 11 and under are admitted FREE.
Pit admission is $40 (w/o a license) and $30 (w/ a license).
