BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – Following very strong support from race teams and race fans in the first on track activity of the brand new 2024 season, Grandview Speedway looks to keep the momentum rolling entering this weekend’s two days of action.

Speedway management has planned another two-division program of racing under the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series banner this Saturday, April 13 for the T.P. Trailer Modifieds and the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman. Each division will run qualifying races leading to the 30-lap Modified and 25-lap Sportsman main events.

Race time on Saturday night is 6 pm. Pit gates open at 3 pm, grandstand gates open at 4 pm, followed by warm-ups at 5 pm.

Grandstand admission for adults is $20, students 10-15 with ID are $10, while children ages 9 and under are admitted free. Pit admission is $35 for NASCAR members with a license, and $45 for non-members.

On Sunday, April 14, the Outlaw Racing Series Enduro and Outlaw Racing Series Vintage cars will be in action for the first time this season joined by the Slingshots starting at 1 pm. Pit gates will be opening at 10 am, and Grandstand gates open at 12 noon. Grandstand admission is $10, children ages 12 and under are admitted free, while Pit admission is $30.

This Saturday night prior to the racing program will be the first Low Down and Dirty meet and greet of the season hosted once again by Whippy and Jennifer Umbenhauer. The drivers who will be participating will be the father and son duo of Doug and Cody Manmiller along with Michael Storms.

The pre-race Meet and Greet is held in the main gate area starting at 3:30 pm and is a great time for fans to meet the drivers up close, collect some autographs, take photos, and talk racing with their favorite drivers.

The opening program of the season last Saturday saw several outside invaders join in the action and score some top finishes, with Mike Mahaney scoring the win over Stewart Friesen. Ten-time track champion Jeff Strunk was the first track regular across the finish in third position giving him an early edge on the rest of the competition in the chase for the championship.

Strunk will be joined by defending champion Brett Kressley, Duane Howard, Craig Von Dohren, Doug Manmiller, Mike Gular, Ryan Watt, Tim Buckwalter, Eddie Strada, Ryan Grim and nearly three dozen competitors who will be in action on Saturday night looking for a feature win.

The T.P. Truck Equipment NASCAR Sportsman division saw defending champion Logan Watt scoring the win on Opening night. Watt will be looking for his second win, but other top ten-point drivers looking for their first victory of the season include Ryan Graver, Logan Bauman, Addison Meitzler, Adrianna Delliponti, Natahn Mohr, Mike Schneck Jr., Dylan Swinehart, Zane Roth, and Jesse Hirthler.

The T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman division saw some very close competition in the season opener, and those top-ten drivers will be among nearly forty drivers who will be in action again this week.

Next Saturday, April 20 will be another two-division program under the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series banner as the T.P. Trailer Modifieds and T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman will be competing in a program that will consist of qualifying races leading up to the 30-lap Modified and 25-lap Sportsman main events.

The Saturday, April 20 program will also see the first of the monthly fan participation Trivia nights, where questions about Grandview Speedway racing will be asked, and fans will be able to win some cool prizes or gift cards.

It will also be Checkered Flag Fan Club night at the Speedway, with representatives on hand to sign up new members and meet the winners in Victory Lane.
