USAC NATIONAL SPRINT TOUR JESSE HOCKETT CLASSIC EASTERN STORM ARRIVES ON JUNE 17
BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – Grandview Speedway begins a busy month of June with two days of race action this weekend, including a Saturday night tripleheader!
The big race program this Saturday, June 7 will see A.D. Moyer Lumber Company as the presenting race night sponsor for a special triple-header program with the T.P. Trailer NASCAR Modifieds and T.P. Truck Equipment NASCAR Sportsman being joined by the United Racing Club (URC) Sprint Cars.
Saturday night’s program which is part of the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series will see qualifying events for all divisions leading into a 30-lap T.P. Trailer Modified main event and 25-lap features for the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman and URC Sprint Cars.
Rain checks or pit wristbands from May 17 may be used for the June 7 program, with ticket holders having to pay the added price (adults an extra $8, or students an extra $2, pit prices are the same) or those tickets and wristbands can still be used up to and including the June 14 – T.P. Trailer Modified and T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman program. The June 14 event will be the last night to use the May 17 rainchecks.
On Saturday pit gates open at 4 pm, with grandstand gates opening at 5:30 pm, URC Sprint car engine starts at 6 pm, warm-ups starting at 6:15 pm, and the first race of the evening getting the green flag at 7:30 pm.
Adult grandstand admission is $28, students 10-15 with ID are $12, while children ages 9 and under are admitted free of charge. Pit admission is $35 for NASCAR members and $45 for non-members.

This upcoming weekend will actually see two shows beginning on Friday, June 6 featuring the Outlaw Racing Series Enduro and Outlaw Racing Series Vintage Cars in action along with the Xcel 600 Modifieds starting at 7 pm. Pit gates open at 2 pm, with grandstand gates opening at 5:30 pm. Grandstand admission will be $10, with children ages 12 and under admitted for free. Pit admission is $35 for the Friday event.
The second Thunder on the Hill Racing Series event is just around the corner on Tuesday, June 17, as Levan Machine & Truck Equipment presents the Jesse Hockett Classic USAC National Sprint Car Series Eastern Storm opener.
This program includes time trials, and qualifying events leading up to the 40-lap feature event that pays $6000 to win. The program also includes the 358 Modifieds with qualifying events and a 30-lap $3000 to win feature, that could pay an added $2000 from Alpine Building Supply if the winning driver is a first time Thunder Series winner.
The T.P. Trailer Modifieds have had four different winners in four races so far this season, with Brian Hirthler, point leader Brett Kressley, Chris Esposito and Jeff Strunk reaching victory lane.
Those four drivers will lead the field into action this week along with other top point drivers like Mike Gular, Craig Von Dohren, Logan Watt, Jared Umbenhauer, Louden Reimert, Duane Howard, Tim Buckwalter, Kyle Smith and Matt Stangle along with three dozen drivers who will be in action on Saturday night.
The T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman have also not had a repeat feature winner this season, with Colin Cox, Lawson Szerencits, and Jesse Landis hitting victory lane so far in 2025.
These three drivers will lead the field into action this week along with top point drivers Adrianna Delliponti, Mike Schneck Jr., Nathan Mohr, Dylan Swinehart, Gavyn Krupp, Mike Stofflet, Teague Miller, Kyle Hartzell, and Kenny Gilmore along with three dozen competitors who will be challenging for the victory.
The URC Sprints return to Grandview this Saturday after a one year hiatus. Recent URC Sprint events at Grandview have seen Robbie Stillwagon win in 2023, Josh Weller in 2022, a rain out in 2021, Adam Carberry in 2020, and Tyler Ross scoring the win in 2019.
The URC Sprint series has a long and storied history at Grandview Speedway dating back to their first event at the track in 1968. All together there have been 96 – URC Sprint races held at the track during that time span, with multi-time champ Dave Kelly having scored the most wins of any one driver, reaching the win circle 20 times during his career at Grandview.
Saturday, June 14 will feature a two-division program with the T.P. Trailer Modifieds and the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman starting at 7:30 pm.
Saturday, June 21 will see the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman competing in their first Twin 20’s feature event program along with a full show for the T.P. Trailer Modifieds starting at 7:30 pm.
Since the 1960’s, Grandview Speedway has been presenting exciting wheel to wheel NASCAR stock car racing every Saturday Night starting in April and running through October, plus special events.
