NEW EGYPT, NJ – Terrible Start.
The June 14 program at New Egypt Speedway has been canceled due to persistent rain showers soaking the speedway grounds.
The cancelation is the seventh of the 11 races scheduled thus far in 2025.
“The forecast is just so bleak,” Speedway Vice President of Operations Chris Moore stated. “We have too many teams coming from too far away to force the issue.”
Attention turns to next Saturday, June 21 for Little League Night with a visit from the 600 XCEL Modifieds.
The Modifieds headline the affair with the Xtreme Diesel Performance LLC., Street Stocks, 600 XCEL Modifieds, NEWS, and Vintage Cars.
All Kids and Coaches in their Little League, Rec League, or Babe Ruth/Cal Ripken League uniform will be admitted FREE.
Four kids will be selected randomly to participate in a Home Run Derby on the front stretch with a driver from the pit area.

For the June 21 event, pit gates open at 3 p.m. with the grandstands unlocking at 4 p.m. Hot laps begin at 5:30 p.m. with racing to follow at 6:30 p.m.
Grandstand admission is $23 for Adults, $20 for Seniors, and $15 for Military w/ID and Teens 12-15. Kids 11 and under are admitted FREE.
Pit admission is $40 (w/o a license) and $30 (w/ a license).
