Tony Hanbury Returns to Victory Lane at Lancaster; Dustin Nova and Mark Hoch Wins Street Stock Twin 25’s

LANCASTER, N.Y. (June 14, 2025) – Ontario, NY’s Tony Hanbury returned to Lancaster Motorplex victory lane on Saturday night by winning the Sportsman 35-lap feature event. Dustin Novoa from Springville, NY and Mark Hoch from West Seneca, NY won the twin 25’s for the Street Stocks at Lancaster Motorplex on Saturday night. Chris Deyoe Jr from East Otto, NY won the 4 Cylinder feature on the Lancaster ¼-mile. Jimmy Dunkleman III from Medina, NY won the Rusty Diamond Cores Pro 4 feature. 

Tony Hanbury and Tyler Catalano were on the front row for the Sportsman feature, with Hanbury in the lead. Mason Hanel would pass Catalano to take over second, and Andy Jankowiak would take over third from Catalano on lap two.  Jankowiak would take over second from Mason Hanel on lap seven and would go after race leader Hanbury. Catalano would pass John Barber to reclaim fourth place on lap 20, as George Skora III battled with Barber for fifth place, as the top three (Hanbury, Jankowiak, Hanel) pulled away from the field. Skora would pass Barber on lap 25 to enter the top five. Hanbury would go on to score the win, his first Sportsman win at Lancaster since September of 2015. 

Dustin Novoa and Tim Garlock were on the front row for the 5/17 makeup feature for the Street Stocks, with Novoa in the lead. Dan Dressel would take over second on lap seven. Novoa would continue to show the way over Dressel, Nik Welshans, Dave Johnson, and Nathan Bryant. Novoa would lead all 25-laps to earn his third victory of the season. Dressel, Bryant, Johnson, and Welshans completed the top five. 

Kyle Schosek and Tim Garlock led the Street Stocks to the green flag for their regularly scheduled 25-lap feature, with Garlock in the lead. Mark Hoch would take the lead away from Garlock on lap 13. Several cautions slowed the pace of the event. After being sent tail for contact, Dustin Nova would work his way to second, as Nathan Bryant and Troyer Catalano battled for third place for several laps. Hoch would go on to score his first win of the season ahead of Nova, Bryant, and Catalano. 

Andrew Rocque and John Byrd brought the 4 Cylinders to the green flag for their 20-lap feature event, with Rocque in the lead ahead of Ben Adams and Ryan Hessler. Chris Deyoe Jr would take over third place and would challenge Hessler and Adams for the lead. Deyoe would take the top spot on lap seven, with Adams and Hessler racing in second and third respectively. Hunter McKay would catch Hessler and Adams for the battle for second, as Deyoe pulled away from the field. Deyoe would go on to collect the feature win. 

Caidan Ingerick and Ryan Hessler brought the Rusty Diamond Cores Pro 4’s to the green flag for their 15-lap feature event, with Ingerick in the lead. Jimmy Dunkleman III would take over the lead on lap four, with Ingerick, Chris Deyoe Jr, Bob Bogner and Mason Russo racing in the top five. Dunkleman would pull away from the field to pick up the win. 

Racing continues at Lancaster Motorplex on Thursday, June 26 for the Ol’ Boy Cup 60 featuring the Race of Champions Modified Series. The Sportsman, Mighty TQ Midgets, and the Rusty Diamond Cores Pro 4’s will all be in action. Pit gates open at 3:30pm, with grandstands opening at 5:30pm, and racing will get underway at 7pm.
