BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – There will be plenty of racing action at Grandview Speedway again this weekend, with two days of planned racing activities.
Grandview Speedway will be presenting a NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series program on Saturday, July 12 featuring the T.P. Trailer NASCAR Modifieds and the T.P. Truck Equipment NASCAR Sportsman starting at 7:30 pm.
The T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman will be in the spotlight this week participating in the 55th annual Firecracker 40 championship race, the biggest race program of the summer for the division.
The show on Saturday, July 12 will be sponsored by Macmillan Oil Company of Allentown and will include qualifying events for both classes leading into the 40-lap championship feature for the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman and the 30-lap T.P. Trailer Modified feature.

Macmillan Oil Company of Allentown will be set up inside the main gate grandstand entrance to greet fans upon their arrival as well as having a display set up in the pit area to greet all drivers and race teams.
Grandview Speedway’s official Track Photographer Steve Sabo owner of SDS Racing Photography has posted a bonus of $400 to the winner of the Firecracker 40, along with the posted purse of $2000, bringing the total to $2400 for the win in the championship race!
SDS Racing Photography has a photo booth set up at the track each week so fans and drivers can pick up the latest pictures from the weekly action at Grandview Speedway in addition to driver stickers, pins, magnets, and more! Adult grandstand admission is $25, students 10-15 with ID are $12, while children ages 9 and under are admitted free of charge. Pit admission is $35 for NASCAR members and $45 for non-members.
Pit gates will open at 4 pm, with grandstand gates opening at 5:30 pm, warm-ups starting at 6:15 pm, and the first race of the evening getting the green flag at 7:30 pm.
The weekend action actually begins on Friday, July 11, as another Outlaw Racing Series Enduro/Vintage double program will be presented along with the addition of the Pro 4 Racing Series Four Cylinder Stock Cars. On Friday, grandstand admission for adults is $10, children ages 12 and under are free, while pit admission is $35. Pit gates open at 2 pm, while grandstand gates open at 5:30 pm, and racing starts at 7 pm.
Just around the corner on Saturday, July 19 will be Back to the 90’s Night sponsored by A.D. Moyer Lumber Company, featuring just $10 grandstand admission for a complete show of T.P. Trailer Modifieds and T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman starting at 7:30 pm.
Fans are encouraged to wear their 1990’s era apparel and t-shirts for what should be a fun trip down memory lane that evening.
Veteran racer Jon Kellner, who returned to racing last season after having been retired for a number of years, returned to victory lane last Saturday night capturing the 30-lap T.P. Trailer Modified feature event. The win was Kellner’s 17th career Modified win to go along with 58 career Late Model victories for a grand total of 75 career trips to Grandview Speedway victory lane!
Brett Kressley picked up a fourth place run last Saturday night to maintain the number one spot in the current T.P. Trailer Modified point standings, while Mike Gular sits second in points following a fifth place feature run last week, with Duane Howard now sitting third in points following another strong night with a sixth place feature finish.
Jared Umbenhauer was in contention for the win last Saturday night, ending up with a third place finish and currently sits fourth in points, while Louden Reimert was the race’s Hard Charger advancing from 27th to 13th at the finish and now has advanced to fifth in the points race.

The T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman saw Colin Cox charge from seventeenth starting spot to his second feature win of the season, solidifying his top spot in the current point standings, while Mike Schneck Jr. put on a late race charge from 19th starting spot to grab a fourth place feature finish and hold down the second spot in the points standings, with Jesse Landis ending the night in eighth place to currently sit third in the championship points race.
Kenny Gilmore recovered from an early race mishap to post a tenth place feature result and sits fourth in points, while Dylan Swinehart has now climbed to fifth in points after a sixth place feature run last Saturday night.
