(Tioga Center, NY 7-22-25) As the much ballyhooed “Thunder on the Hill 50” for Tour Type Modifieds set for this Sunday, July 27 at Shangri-La II Speedway is fast approaching, track management is proud to announce that the 50-lap feature will have a presenting sponsor.

USNEPower of Westfield, MA and West Des Moines, IA, has signed on to be part of the exciting action.

“USNEPower is proud to be the presenting sponsor of the Tour Type Modified feature at Shangri-La II Speedway,” said company CEO David Miller.

“I have been reading a lot of what’s been happening there on the internet and when I was a kid I use to follow Shangri-La in Speedway Scene.”

Miller is a life-time fan of pavement Modifieds, having followed the ground pounders from a young age throughout his native New England area.

“The asphalt Modified to me is the baddest machine on the track and it’s always fun to watch them guys battle it out on the short tracks and there’s no better experience then being there,” said Miller.

“Modified racing as a whole is where I like to be and the Modifieds are the King of the crowd.

USNEPower is an electrical service provider offering construction, service, and equipment repair including same-day service from two locations: Northeast Operations out of Westfield, Massachusetts and the newly opened Midwest Operations headquartered in West Des Moines, Iowa.

USNEPower Mid-West Operations will support Medium Voltage and Low Voltage Electrical Apparatus Repairs from a fully equipped service center in West Des Moines, Iowa beginning in July 2025. Prompt response which is the cornerstone of USNEPower Northeast Operations and a full array of field services, will soon be available out of the Mid-West Operation Service Center.

USNEPower’s founding business focus is to enrich the lives of others by removing the stress related to complex electrical equipment issues and USNEPower Mid-West will continue this level of successful service by sharing the solutions learned with a predictive service approach in an expanded region. The opportunity to expand is a testament of customer appreciation for the commitment USNEPower has to its customers and an understanding that maintaining our electrical infrastructure is vital to everyone.             “We are absolutely thrilled to have USNEPower come onboard with us at Shangri-La II as the presenting sponsor for the Modified 50 lapper,” said track promoter Jason Makarewicz.

“David Miller has been so amazing to work with and his love of Modifieds shows in the support he is lending for this must-see race and all that he does for racing.”

The winner of the USNEPower 50-lap feature will pocket $3000. Plus, Morgantini Racing Automotive & Machine Services of West Wyoming, Pa., is putting up $200 to the fastest car in time trials.
