FREEDOM 76 CHAMPIONSHIP WEEKEND INFORMATION RELEASED, ANNUAL CLASSIC TO BE HELD ON SEPTEMBER 19-20, WINNER TO EARN $30,063

BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – The 63rd season of racing action continues at Grandview Speedway this week with the presentation of a two-day racing weekend to end the month of August.

This Saturday, August 30 will feature the T.P. Trailer NASCAR Modifieds and the T.P. Truck Equipment NASCAR Sportsman along with the Pro 4 Racing Series in another NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series program starting at 7:30 pm.

The show will include qualifying events for all classes leading up to the 30-lap T.P. Trailer Modified feature, the 25-lap T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman feature, and a 25-lap main event for the Pro 4 Racing Series 4 Cylinder stock cars.

Pit gates will open at 4 pm, with grandstand gates opening at 5:30 pm, warm-ups will be starting at 6:15 pm, and racing gets underway at 7:30 pm.

Adult grandstand admission is $20, students 10-15 with ID are $10, while children ages 9 and under are admitted free of charge. Pit admission is $35 with a NASCAR license, or $45 without a license.

Friday, August 29 will feature the Outlaw Racing Series Enduro and Outlaw Racing Series Vintage Cars in action along with the Slingshots starting at 7 pm. Pit gates open at 2 pm, and grandstand gates open at 5:30 pm.

On Friday night, grandstand admission will be $10, with children ages 12 and under admitted for free. Pit admission is $35 for the Friday event.

The 55th annual Freedom 76 Modified Championship is fast approaching, coming up on Saturday, September 20. Lap sponsorships are a great way for fans to wish their favorite driver’s good luck in the big race, or for businesses to do some advertising. All lap sponsorships will be read on the public address system each week leading up to and including race night on September 20, and will be posted on social media.

Extra bonuses are being posted for the weekend, as the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman will be racing for extra money during the Freedom 38, as Roy Miller II of Keller Williams Real Estate will be sponsoring a Cash Dash with a total payout of $500!

There are more bonuses for the Freedom 76 Championship weekend, as Bob Hilbert Sportswear, the official sportswear provider to Grandview Speedway will be presenting a customized jacket to the winners of both the Freedom 38 Sportsman and Freedom 76 Modified championship races. The Freedom 76 weekend begins on Friday, September 19 with the 12th annual Freedom 38 Sportsman Championship race paying $2063 to the winner, along with practice time for Modified drivers wishing to participate in the Freedom 76.

On Friday, pit gates open at 3 pm, with grandstand gates opening at 5:30 pm, and racing starting at 7:30 pm. Adult Grandstand admission is $5, while children ages 9 and under are admitted for free. Racers are reminded that the Freedom 38 is open to regular Sportsman division drivers only, drivers who compete regularly in Modified division competition are not eligible to compete.

On Saturday, September 20, the 55th annual Freedom 76 will be run for the 358 Modifieds paying $30,063 to the winner! The program includes qualifying races, cash dash and the Minuteman 20 leading up to the 76-lap Championship main event. Pit gates open at 9 am, for inspections, Grandstand ticket windows open at 3 pm, with racing starting at 7 pm. Fans will be able to enter the Grandstand areas between 9 am, and 12 Noon to reserve seats with blankets.

Adult Grandstand tickets on Saturday will be $40, students 10-15 with ID are $20, while children ages 9 and under are admitted free of charge. Pit admission will be $45, and no license is required. There will be no advanced tickets sold for this event, and the rain date is Saturday, September 27.

For the Freedom 76, the tire rules for the event are as follows, American Racer tires, 48 or 50 on the right rear, and it must be the Grandview Speedway tread pattern. Drivers are reminded that all cars must be using the RIGHT SIDE pan hard bar suspension set up. Those wishing to camp at the Speedway please note: Campers can enter the grounds in the fourth turn area on Saturday, September 13 and remain there until the 20th. However, because there are no hookups, sleeping in the campers can only take place September 18-20.

The chase for the T.P. Trailer Modified point title continues to be extremely tight after last Saturday night’s program, as Jared Umbenhauer, who scored his first win of the season in dramatic style from fifteenth starting spot, has moved to the top of the standings by a scant eight points over Duane Howard who also ran an impressive feature, charging forward from 22nd starting spot to score a third place feature run.

Mike Gular sits third in points after missing out on a top ten finish, after getting into an early race tangle, while Louden Reimert sits fourth in points after a ninth place feature run, and Logan Watt moved into fifth position after a sixth place feature result where he rebounded from an early race mishap.

Colin Cox remains on top of the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman standings following a hard fought fifth place feature run last Saturday, while Mike Schneck Jr. remains in second position after not making last week’s feature, with Kenny Gilmore sitting third in points after missing out on a top ten finish.

Brett Gilmore picked up a sixth place feature finish and remains fourth in the standings, while there is a tie for fifth in points between TJ Mayberry who scored a fourth place feature run and Dylan Swinehart who scored an exciting feature win last Saturday with a last corner pass for the win!

The USAC East Coast wingless Sprint cars will make their only visit of the year on Advance Auto Parts Night Saturday, September 6, joining the T.P. Trailer Modifieds and T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman for a huge night of racing starting at 7:30 pm.

Prior to the Advance Auto Parts evening of racing, there will be a special event held on Thursday, September 4 at the Advance Auto Parts store at 801 East Philadelphia Ave. Ste A in Boyertown, Pa. from 5 until 7 pm.

The event will include a meet and greet with Boyertown drivers Ryan & Logan Watt who will be on site with their race cars and available for autographs, a DJ, food truck, and a giveaway of a bunch of items from Advance Auto Parts. Fans will also have the opportunity to win tickets to the upcoming Freedom 76 at Grandview Speedway, persons must sign up and be present on site to be eligible to win.

Since the 1960’s, Grandview Speedway has been presenting exciting wheel to wheel NASCAR stock car racing every Saturday Night starting in April and running through October, plus special events.
