Frye, Betts, Solomon, & Hughes Notch Multiple Wins of the Season.
It was another action-packed night at Bridgeport Motorsports Park as familiar names returned to victory lane and new milestones were achieved. Frye, Betts notched their second wins of the season as Solomon grabbed his third. Wayne Scott celebrated his first-ever Wingless Sprint Car triumph while Mike Hughes continued his dominant year, racing to his 10th win of the season.
Bitner Automotive Night and Kids Night saw a full grandstand for an exciting night of racing and prizes for the kids as they got ready to return to school. Many of the race teams donated bikes, scooters, backpacks, and school supplies. The kids gathered at intermission with smiles everywhere awaiting the drawing for the gifts. Several of the kids enjoyed their visit to Victory Lane with Modified winner, Coleby Frye.
Although Coleby Frye led every lap to collect his second Danny’s Pizza Pizzazz Modified feature of the season. Cale Ross, already a three-time winner in 2025, passed his way forward from his 12th place starting spot. Ross applied steady pressure, but Frye never flinched. “When I saw the 112 in second, I had to make sure I paid attention,” Frye said, determined not to repeat a mistake from earlier in the year. H.J. Bunting, Roger Manning, and point leader Dillon Steuer rounded out the top five.
The nail-biter race of the evening came in the Victory Fuel Wingless Sprints. where a new winner Wayne Scott scored his first career Wingless Sprint Car victory. Scott, a former 600 Wingless racer recently transitioned into the division mid-season. Stan Ploski led much of the event until Rookie, Nathan Smith and Scott began to apply pressure shortly after midway. The 3 racers swapped sliders lap after lap as Smith secured the lead from Ploski while Scott slid by for second. The race was on for the 2 rookie Wingless Sprint drivers as Scott was able to outrun Smith to the checkers. Smith, Ploski, Brendan Hires, and Thomas Radivoy completed the top five.
Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series saw Jeff Paulson pace the early laps before Troy Betts grabbed the lead on lap 11. Kevin Nagy closed hard, finishing wheel-to-wheel at the checkered, but Betts held on for his second straight Bridgeport MASS victory. Brian Carber, Rick Lafferty, and Eddie Wagner completed the top five. A scary moment came on lap 7 when Shelby Kelly climbed the wall between turns one and two, flipping before coming to rest. Thankfully, she walked away uninjured.
Ronnie Solomon III wasted no time, taking the lead on lap two in the Ice Less llc Sportsman Modified main event and never looking back enroute to his third win of the year. Rookie sensation P.J. Bozowski was elated to earn a career-best runner-up, followed by Ethan Young, Wayne Weaver, and Matt Peck. Point leader Joe Toth finished eighth.
Mike Hughes Jr. continued his Street Stock dominance, powering to his 10th win of the season. Bailey Tolson took second, fending off Darren Cox, Kevin Heckman, and Gary Bozowski rounded out the top five.
In addition to purse payouts, several drivers picked up $800 in extra bonus money courtesy of Mr. Bluebeard, a loyal Bridgeport supporter who once again posted lap-leader awards at laps 10 and 20.
