BROOKFIELD, NY – The  “beaver” didn’t get away.

After it fell to rain in August, Brookfield Speedway has rescheduled the complete ‘Modifieds in Madison County’ event to Sunday, September 21.  The event will be highlighted by the roar of big-block/small-block Modifieds on the Madison County Fairgrounds “chasing the golden beaver” for the first time.

The entire program from August will be moved to the September date.

Gates open at 2 p.m., with hot laps at 4:30 p.m. and racing at 5:30 p.m.

Modified competitors chase the ‘Golden Beaver’ trophy after 30 laps around the quarter-mile oval.

Short Track Super Series engine and weight rules are in effect for this non-points-paying event. Sail panels are permitted.

$2,000 awaits the winner, with $200 reserved to take the green flag plus special awards and bonuses.

Joining the Modifieds on the Sunday special event card are the Scenic View Campground Sportsman, Abrams Press Allstar and Junior Slingshots and White’s Welding and Custom Cutting Four Cylinders in Brookfield points-paying events.

The nightcap will be a 50-lap, winner-take-all Enduro: the second Enduro event of the 2025 season at Brookfield.

Adult admission is $22. Kids 11 and under are FREE. Pit admission is $45. Kids 11 and under pay $10.

Next up for Brookfield Speedway is a special Saturday event on Sept. 6 featuring the debut of the NY6A Hoosier Sprint Tour, the Mohawk Valley Vintage Dirt Modified Racing Series plus Scenic View Campground Sportsman, Anderson Towing Pro Stocks, Abrams Press Allstar and Junior Slingshots plus the White’s Welding and Custom Cutting Four Cylinders.

$2,000 to win – $200 to star

30-lap feature – 10-lap heats

Double-file restarts in heat races – double-file restarts until five laps remain in feature except for two cautions on the same lap (single-file restart ensues)

Draw for heat races. Redraw of top qualifiers for feature.

Bodies: Sail panels permitted (max. 65 inches, must be even). Standard or 2024 Short Track Super Series (tall) doors permitted.

Tires: American Racer 38 or harder right-front; 44 or harder left-rear; 48 or harder right-rear; any American Racer left front; or Hoosier D300 or harder (all four corners)Engines & Weights:
Big-Block (max. 480 cubic inches) or Open Small-Block (max. 454 cubic inches): 2,450 lbs.
Wegner Automotive ‘Weekend Warrior’ LS 427 (must meet spec sheet) or Small-Block (Max. 370 cubic inches): 2,400 lbs.
PA/NJ/DIRTcar Spec, W-16, CT-525: 2,350 lbs.
*All weights are track-scale pounds, taken post-race with driver in car
