For the past six years, Speed Enterprises Entertainment has been honored to bring the excitement of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour to Lancaster Motorplex. What began as a bold idea evolved into one of the region’s most anticipated racing events, an effort built on passion, partnership, and perseverance.
Over the years, the arrangement among Lancaster Motorplex, NASCAR, and Speed Enterprises Entertainment has been anything but traditional. Despite our best efforts, negotiations at the local level could not be finalized for 2026, resulting in the event’s absence from next season’s Tour schedule. This outcome is deeply disappointing to our entire team after so much work, planning, and enthusiasm were invested in presenting a first-class event for fans, teams, and the community alike.
“Six years of work to grow this event and everything that happened around it—heartbreak and achievements,” said Mike Myers of Speed Enterprises Entertainment. “It’s difficult to see this current outcome, but we remain proud of what was built. Most importantly, we remain hopeful for future endeavors.”
We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the incredible fans who filled the stands year after year, to the local community and sponsors who rallied behind this event, especially Nu-Way Auto Parts for their dedication and continued commitment. And finally, to the teams of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour for their unwavering support and professionalism.
A sincere thank-you also goes to Jimmy Wilson and the NASCAR team for their ongoing efforts, respect, and partnership throughout this process.
