MODIFIED 2026 POINTS RACE DATES
We have compiled a “Family Friendly” schedule for 2026 that gives race teams some options. Back in the day, most race teams just raced, raced, and raced. After reviewing the analytics we have found since COVID the teams that raced randomly have for the most part stopped racing and the landscape of the racers that raced vigorously has begun to show signs of some racers relaxing their schedules as family life and costs have changed.
For 2026 we tried to build in options for both types of racers……
For the racer looking to race for points, yet have some family time. We have that, with a 14 race “Points Series” schedule. Paying the same $10,000 to win.
For the racer wanting to just stay ay Bridgeport but have a bit fuller schedule. We have 4 added non points shows. 2 at the beginning, 1 in the middle, and 1 at the end.
Are you still the vigorous racer? We built in 4 options for you.
1. You can race Bridgeport and US 13 for points, we scheduled no conflicting Saturday dates. You can now take home the $10,000 Championship from Bridgeport and pocket another Saturday night Championship all in the same year.
2. We are off for the 3 big shows at Grandview. You can run our 18 + their 3 giving you a solid 21 events.
3. We have also shared our schedule with NES. I would presume they will schedule a few “special” shows on our off dates, combined with the others above still providing you with weekly points racing and now the ability to hit some Saturday Night money races that in past you could not.
4. Lastly, we’ve heard a few more teams are considering going on the road this year with the Super DIRTcar Series (very cool). For those select teams now you can travel with them and if you still want to race for points, Bridgeport provides a more relaxed option.
TRACK SURFACE CHANGES FOR 2026
We are putting the progression and the banking back in the top.
We tested during our end of the season events in 2025, how much can we let the track go and not have the dust issue we had early in the year with the new clay? From the Serrano race through the Dirty Jersey Finale we progressively let the track go more to the slick side and the dust held off quite well. It appears that the bulk of the silt that comes with new clay has worked it’s way out.
RULES UPDATES
NO more droop rule.
You CAN run a spoiler if you choose.
We will maintain the 8000 rpm rule for Spec engine cars
CT525 engines – 2275 lbs
We are looking forward to a fun and exciting 2026 season at the Kingdom of Speed!
