(Minersville, Pa.) Big Diamond Speedway has announced an extensive 2026 schedule, featuring events across 24 consecutive weekends beginning in April and continuing through the Labor Day holiday.
As fans and racers have come to anticipate under the leadership of track owners Jake and Jasmine Smulley, the upcoming season at Big Diamond Speedway promises excitement and opportunity for all.
This year, every class—ranging from the established weekly divisions to the visiting touring groups—can look forward to a robust schedule filled with a wide array of high-paying events. These lucrative shows ensure that drivers and teams in every division have numerous chances to compete for substantial purses and recognition while fans will be treated to some of the best dirt track action being offered throughout the northeast.
It all starts on Friday, April 3 as the new season of “Racing in God’s Country” begins in earnest with the 54th Annual Season Opener “Thaw Brawl” headlined by the Quandel Concrete 358 Modifieds battling for a top prize of $4054-to-win. Also on the opening day slate will be the USS Achey Inc. 602 Crate Sportsman racing for a winner’s stake of $1054 along with the Red White and Blue Autos Inc., Roadrunners contesting in a $454-to-win feature and rounding out the night will be the Big Creek Concrete Rookie 602 Crate Sportsman.
Other key Modified events include the high-paying Fritz Roehrig Memorial-Money in the Mountains, a $10,000-to-win/50-lapper as part of DBR Industrial Servies LLC Night on April 10.
$7000 is up for grabs for the victor on Dukmen’s Enterprises Topless Night. Another high-dollar Modified feature will be taking place on DBR Industrial Servies LLC Night with the Prelude to the Coalcracker on August 25, a race that pays $10,000-to-win.
Then there is the ‘Big One,’ the Jack Rich Inc., Coalcracker 72 where $15,000 awaits the winner of the annual season finale on September 6.
The Sportsman class has a number $1000-to-win or more shows throughout the year including the $2000-to-win Crate Classic on May 15 and likewise the Roadrunners will see their fair share of high-paying races that are spread across the calendar.
Returning in 2026 will be the popular Eastern Storm featuring the USAC National Sprint Car Series as they swing into Big Diamond with a special Thursday night show on June 18.
The USAC East Coast Series have a pair of races booked on May 22 and August 7. The Limited Late Models and Xcel 600 Modifieds make a return to the 3/8-mile dirt oval both on May 8.
Always a fan favorite, the East Coast Legends Series will be in town for a pair of features on June 26 and July 31, the latter being a rewarding $1500-to-win main.
The Keystone Sport Compact Series, a division designated for front-wheel drive four-cylinder cars, has scheduled five events, including participation in the Coalcracker.
This year enduro racing returns to Big Diamond with a 50-lap Big Car Enduro lined up for June 5. The following week fans can take part in a Burnout Contest with $500 going to best burnout.
There will be no racing on the weekend of May 2 & 3. Instead, the speedway is hosting a special event featuring the 2X Monster Truck Live Tour Show.
