FONDA, NY – The 2026 Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco campaign explodes with a massive month of March.

Three events are on the docket – including a new venue for the series – to launch the 13th year of racing for the series.

One of the country’s most beloved facilities – Pa.’s Port Royal Speedway – opens the season Friday-Saturday March 13-14 with the annual ‘Speed Showcase’ event highlighted by the STSS Modifieds competing 60 laps for $12,000 to win in Round No. 1 of the NJ Quality Drywall South Region.

Joining the STSS Modifieds are the STSS Sportsman of the Belmont’s Garage South Region racing 40 laps for a $4,000 top prize (the most lucrative of the season for the series), New York State Pro Stocks and Four Cylinders.

The March visit is the sole appearance by the series at the ‘Speed Palace’ in 2026.

A complete ‘Speed Showcase’ schedule will be released in the coming weeks in addition to camping information.

New Jersey’s high-banked Bridgeport Motorsports Park is next up on Sunday, March 22 with the ’60 Over Special’ honoring the late Doug Hoffman, not only a driving legend but former promoter of the South Jersey venue.

STSS Modifieds (60 laps, $6,060 to win) and Sportsman both partake in South Region events.

There is a unique weather date for this program: in the event of a poor forecast for Sunday, the event will be moved forward one day to Saturday, March 21.

The final weekend of March brings an inaugural stop for the STSS at Pa.’s Bedford Speedway. The historic venue on the Bedford Fairgrounds kicks off its 90th anniversary season with the first-ever STSS Modified appearance on the spacious half-mile oval.

The NJ Quality Drywall STSS Modifieds will be joined by Super Late Models for the speedway’s Opening Day program.

In addition to celebrating the 90th year of racing at Bedford, the ’26 season marks the 15th season for promoter Joe Padula.

An open practice will precede Saturday’s event at Bedford on Saturday (March 28).

Prior to the three days of March racing, the ’25 STSS season reaches its official conclusion with the Night of Champions Awards Banquet and Season Kick-Off Celebration Saturday, March 7 at the Holiday Inn of Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

The complete ’26 STSS schedule of events is posted on the series website at: https://www.shorttracksuperseries.com/schedules/

Rules and procedures for ’26 are being finalized and will be released shortly with only minimal changes expected.

All series events will again be broadcast live on FloSports via the FloRacing app. Sign up for a subscription at www.floracing.com.
