Possibility of $25,000 announced for annual Coalcracker

Minersville, Pa. 2-1-26) Drivers competing in Big Diamond Speedway’s Quandel Concrete 358 Modified division this upcoming season have plenty to look forward to with 20 race dates in place – five of those will be paying in excess of $4000 or more to win.

Aside from the exciting weekly features for the Mighty Mods, big payday shows begin right from the get-go with the 54th Season Opener Thaw Brawl which awards $4054-to-win on Friday, April 3.

Just one week later the stakes will be raised to $10,000 as the speedway pays homage to its track founder with the 50-lap Fritz Roehrig Memorial Money in the Mountains, part of DBR Industrial Services LLC Night.

Dukmen’s Enterprises Night on June 26 is not only a yearly fan favorite event with Topless Night, but it will be a very a lucrative one as well for the Modified winner heading to the payout window with $7000 awaiting the lucky driver.

August 21 is yet another race night that one fortunate driver can line his or her pockets as the Prelude to the Coalcracker 50-lap main will be worth a cool $10,000.

The season will wrap up on September 6 with the Jack Rich Inc. Modified Coalcracker 72 paying $15,000-to-win and $600 to take the green.

But wait there’s more!

Just recently track owners Jake and Jasmine Smulley have announced that the winner’s amount for this annual premier event can reach a track-record first place payout of $25,000 and $1,000 to take the green if 55 cars sign in and attempt to qualify.

To put these numbers into perspective, the combined total winnings from the high-paying events alone at Big Diamond Speedway present a remarkable opportunity for competitors. Should a single driver manage to capture victory in each of the marquee races their earnings from just these select shows would exceed $56,000.

Through the efforts of the Smulley’s this impressive sum demonstrates the significant financial rewards available during the 2026 season for those who can consistently perform at the highest level in the most lucrative events.

Big Diamond Speedway begins racing on Friday evening, April 3, with the 54th Season Opener. Joining the Quandel Concrete 358 Modifieds will be the USS Achey Inc., 602 Crate Sportsman vying for a top prize of $1054, the Red White and Blue Autos Inc., Roadrunners engaging in a $454-to-win feature plus the Big Creek Concrete Rooke 602 Crate Sportsman.

An open practice session takes place the Sunday prior, on March 29, which all divisions are welcome to take part in.
