T. P. TRAILERS & TRUCK EQUIPMENT MODIFIEDS WILL RUN TWIN 25 LAP FEATURES NEXT SATURDAY MAY 30
LOW DOWN ENTERTAINMENT MODIFIED & SPORTSMAN MATCH RACES JUNE 20 & JULY 4
BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – For the third time in the last five weekends, rain caused the cancellation of the planned racing events for Saturday, May 23 at Grandview Speedway.
With overnight rains continuing through the morning hours and predicted to continue for the remainder of the day, track management was left with no choice but to call off the planned race events on Saturday.
The T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modifieds & Sportsman along with the Outlaw Racing Series Vintage cars NASCAR Local Racing Series Powered by O’Reilly Auto Parts May 23 program may be lost to the weatherman, however management has prepared another exciting night of racing for next Saturday night.
The show on Saturday, May 30 will feature a special night for the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modifieds, as they will be running TWIN 25-LAP FEATURES in addition to a full slate of qualifying races and a full program for the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Sportsman, all under the NASCAR Local Racing Series Powered by O’Reilly Auto Parts banner.
Both Twin 25-lap features for the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modifieds will pay $2000 to win, plus the T.P. Trailers and Truck Equipment bonus of $300 making for a $2300 payday for the winner in each feature.
There is more! Should the same driver win both Twin 25-lap features, that driver would earn a bonus of $1000, making it possible to win $5600 for a sweep of the twin feature program!
It will be the second special event of the season for the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment NASCAR Modifieds, after having started the year with the running of the VP Racing Fuels 50-lap Bruce Rogers Memorial Money Maker on April 4.
The starting time for May 30 will move to 7:30 pm and stay in place for the rest of the summer season, with pit gates opening at 4 pm, grandstand gates opening at 5:30 pm, and warm-ups starting at 6:30 pm.
For the TWIN 25 program, adult grandstand admission is $25, students 10-15 with ID are $10, while children ages 9 and under are admitted free of charge. Pit admission is $35 for NASCAR members and $45 for non-members.
The fan favorite match races for the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Sportsman and Modified divisions make a return to Grandview Speedway in the coming weeks, to be known as The Low Down Throw Down, and will take place on two separate nights with the Sportsman division match race taking place on June 20th followed by the Modified division taking place July 4th.
The format for the Low Down Throw Down, presented by Lown Down Entertainment who host the weekly Meet & Greets for the fans, will see the top 7 in points and the 3 fastest cars timed through that evening’s hot lap session, that are not in the top 7 in points participating.
The overall winner will get a top prize of $500, however LDE is looking for additional lap sponsorship cash for the competitors to sweeten the pot a bit, with an American Racer tire certificate, and a bottle of Inferno Armor as additional prizes.
Sponsors for the Low Down Throw Down include MB Roofing, Baer Den Farms, Stringers Collision Center, Hoffman Speed Supplies, Bear’s Inferno Armor, and American Racer.
Since the 1960’s, Grandview Speedway has been presenting exciting wheel to wheel NASCAR stock car racing every Saturday Night starting in April and running through October, plus special events.
