FONDA, NY – The temperatures are heating up and so is the schedule for the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco.
First up is N.Y.’s Brookfield Speedway on the historic Madison County Fairgrounds this Sunday, June 14 with the rescheduled Fast Cars & Freedom event from Memorial Day Weekend. The STSS Sportsman compete in Round No. 2 of the Madsen Overhead Doors Inc. North Region, a 25-lap, $1,500-to-win event on the quarter-mile oval.
HYTORC of New York North Region STSS Modified action returns to Devil’s Bowl Speedway in West Haven, Vt., on Father’s Day – Sunday, June 21 – with the annual Slate Valley 67 paying $7,567 to the winner after 67 laps around Mike and Alayne Bruno’s pristine Green Mountain State venue.
A Short Track Super Series staple – N.Y.’s Afton Motorsports Park – hosts the Interstate 88 Special on Thursday, June 25 with the HYTORC of New York North Region STSS Modifieds (48 laps, $5,088 to win) and Madsen Overhead Doors Inc. North Region STSS Sportsman (28 laps, $1,588 to win) on the program.
The Track of Champions – N.Y.’s Fonda Speedway – is up on Wednesday, July 1 with the Firecracker 50 leading into Independence Day Weekend. STSS Modifieds of the HYTORC of New York North Region race 50 laps with $7,776 going to the winner and STSS Sportsman competing 30 laps for $1,776 to win.
