FONDA, NY – The month of August at Fonda Speedway kicks off in a big way.
This Saturday (Aug. 1), Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Homes presents the Fonda Speedway-Lebanon Valley Speedway Challenge accompanied by the Hondo Classic and BOBCO Dash, setting up a massive night at the Track of Champions.
Amsterdam Truck Center Modifieds headline the program in a 30-lap event paying $3,575 to win, $700 for 10th and $500 for 20th. A draw/redraw format will be in place for this event.
358-Modifieds make their only appearance of 2026 at Fonda Speedway with a 25-lap program paying $1,500 to win and the Lebanon Valley Speedway pay structure from second through the field. DIRTcar rules are in effect for this program and a draw/redraw format will be utilized.
Swagger Factory Apparel Sportsman race 25 laps for $1,250 to win and additional money throughout the field with a draw/redraw format. Lebanon Valley Sportsman may utilize Hoosier tires for this event.
The marquee Pro Stock event at Fonda Speedway each season – the 29-lap Hondo Classic – features thousands of dollars in bonus money annually in memory of the late Hondo Carpenter. Joining the Hondo Classic is the BOBCO Dash – a 6-lap Dash with more than $3,200 up for grabs for the six participating drivers (top two from the three heat races). Pro Stocks may utilize American Racer or Hoosier tires with a draw/redraw format.
For Fonda Speedway’s Modified, Sportsman and Pro Stock divisions, this event will offer show-up points (25). The event will count toward American Racer Cup championship battles for Modified and Sportsman teams.
There are two-race Fonda-Lebanon Valley Challenge point funds available for Modified, 358-Modified, Sportsman and Pro Stock teams competing at Fonda Aug. 1 and Lebanon Valley Aug. 22. Perfect attendance is retired to collect point fund money.
Montgomery County Office for Aging Inc. Limited Sportsman and Fonda Fair Four Cylinders will compete in regular, points-paying events.
Early pit pass sales begin at 2 p.m. All gates open at 4 p.m. Hot laps hit the track at 6 p.m., with racing to follow.
Adult grandstand admission is $25. Seniors (ages 65 and over) pay $23. Kids 11 and under are FREE.
Infield drive-in admission is $110 and includes four passes.
Pit admission is $45 (Non-Members), $40 (Members) and $10 (Kids ages 11 and under).

The Track of Champions Fonda Speedway has hosted the best in stock car racing for 75 seasons. The speedway operates weekly on Saturday nights from April through August plus several special events.
