HIGHLY COMPETITIVE 2026 RACING SEASON SEES ELEVEN DIFFERENT MODIFIED & FOURTEEN DIFFERENT SPORTSMAN FEATURE WINNERS
GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY ANNOUNCES 2027 SEASON OPENER FOR APRIL 3 WITH 10th ANNUAL MONEY MAKER TO HONOR BRUCE & THERESA ROGERS
BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – The 64th anniversary season of auto racing action at Grandview Speedway for the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment NASCAR Modifieds and Sportsman concluded this past weekend with two exciting and action packed racing programs during the Freedom 76 weekend of racing.
However, racing is not quite over yet this year, as this Saturday, September 26 will feature the final on track action of the season with the Outlaw Racing Series Enduro and Outlaw Racing Series Vintage Cars in action along with the Xcel 600 Modifieds, Keystone Sport Compact Series Four Cylinder Stock Cars, the Atlantic Coast Old Timers, along with Halloween for the kids starting at 5 pm. Pit gates open at 1 pm., Grandstand gates open at 3 pm. Grandstand admission will be $10, with children ages 12 and under admitted for free. Pit admission is $35 for the Outlaw Racing Series event.
The 2026 season for the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment NASCAR Modifieds was brought to an exciting conclusion this past Saturday night with the running of the 56th annual Freedom 76 Championship race which was won by Louden Reimert, who scored his first ever win in the prestigious event and his division leading fourth feature win this season, which included wins in two of the division’s biggest events, the season Opening Bruce Rogers Memorial and the season ending Freedom 76.
Reimert started in fourth position and quickly hooked up in a battle with Jared Umbenhauer for the first twenty-eight laps of the feature, including losing the lead to Umbenhauer following a lap twenty-four restart only to gain it back one circuit later, Reimert then had to fend off relentless pressure from Matt Stangle in a two-driver dog fight for the lead for ten laps between laps 50 and 60, then held back some serious late race pressure from Jeff Strunk in the final three laps to earn the huge feature win.
For the Freedom 76 feature win, Reimert picked up a whopping $35,531 from the speedway in purse money (which included an increase in the winner’s share of $5531 in honor of Theresa Rogers whose birthday was May 31), a $1000 bonus from the NASCAR Local Racing Series, another $1000 bonus from the NASCAR Local Racing Series for being a track regular, a Bob Hilbert Sportswear $150 gift certificate, a Penske Racing Shocks $75 gift certificate, a Dan’s Deli gift certificate for leading at the half-way mark, plus the bulk of the lap leader prize money of $4157 to bring his winnings to an amazing $41,913!
The entire evening was a spectacular night of competitive racing action from start to finish, as 63 race teams participated in six qualifying heats, two consolations, a GT Radiator Repair $1000 to win cash dash and the Schaeffer Motorsports Minuteman 20 leading into the Freedom 76 lap Championship feature finale for the 2026 racing season.
Youthful Logan Watt was officially crowned the 2026 T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment NASCAR Modified Grandview Track Champion one week prior on September 12th, after Eddie Strada, Watt and Strunk all had a shot at the title on the final night of points. Watt scored his first T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modified point title in just his second year in the division, after winning two track titles in the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Sportsman class. Watt earned the point title on the strength of 1 win, 10 top five finishes, and 12 top ten finishes in 19 events on the season.
The remaining drivers completing solid seasons in the top five positions in points were Eddie Strada, Jeff Strunk, Rick Laubach and Louden Reimert who gained the fifth spot on the last night of points racing..
The entire 2026 season of T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modified racing was competitive from beginning to end, as eleven different drivers reached victory lane. Freedom 76 winner Louden Reimert led the way with four victories, while Craig Von Dohren, Brett Kressley, and Jeff Strunk (which includes a Thunder on the Hill series win) all have three wins, with Jared Umbenhauer capturing two checkered flags.
Drivers with a single feature win this season include Duane Howard, Ryan Watt, Anthony Perrego, Tim Buckwalter, Logan Watt, and Billy Pauch Jr. (Thunder Series win), with Perrego the only driver among the eleven to score a first career Grandview win.
The final top twenty in points for the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment NASCAR Modifieds are 1. Logan Watt – 4370, 2. Eddie Strada – 4292, 3. Jeff Strunk – 4070, 4. Rick Laubach – 3932, 5. It was also an awesome final night of action for the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Sportsman last Friday night, as a huge field of 59 drivers arrived for competition and participated in six qualifying heats, two consolations, a Roy Miller II of Keller Williams Real Estate $500 to win cash dash, and the Patriot 20 – B main, leading into the Freedom 38-lap Championship feature race.
Bryce Bashore scored the biggest win of his young career, capturing the 13th annual Freedom 38 T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment NASCAR Sportsman Championship race, which was also his second win of the season at Grandview and second of his career at the track.
Bashore drew the second starting spot for the Championship feature but spent the opening feature laps battling with Joey Vaccaro for the top spot, before securing the lead following a lap eight restart, then withstood some serious, lapped traffic mid-race, and some pressure from Mike Schneck Jr. while dicing through the lapped cars to motor home with a $4293 pay day for the huge win.
Bashore collected $2064 in purse money, a $500 winner’s bonus from the NASCAR Local Racing Series, a $400 winner’s bonus from Lisa’s Landscaping, a $150 winner’s certificate from Bob Hilbert Sportswear, $75 Penske Racing shocks certificate, Dan’s Deli gift certificate for leading at half-way, a $50 bonus from Stringer’s Collision Center for winning his qualifying heat race, and $1054 in lap leader prize money as well, to earn himself a cool $4293 payoff.
Joe Toth was officially crowned T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment NASCAR Sportsman Champion on September 12th, capturing the championship in his first season of competition at Grandview. Toth, Addison Meitzler and defending champion Colin Cox entered the final points night with a shot to win the title, with Toth securing a seventh place feature run to capture the point crown. Toth finished the year and won the title without benefit of a win, along with 2 top five’s, and 13 top ten finishes in 19 events.
Following Toth in the final point standings were Addison Meitzler, Colin Cox, Teague Miller, and on the final night Brett Gilmore grabbed fifth position in points.
It turned into a super competitive season for the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Sportsman division in 2026, as fourteen different drivers scored a feature win during the just completed campaign, with Addison Meitzler, Alex Bartorillo, Johnny Fugelo, Brad Brightbill, and Freedom 38 winner Bryce Bashore all capturing two wins each, while Mike Toth, Mark Mohr, Jesse Landis, Decker Swinehart, Brett Gilmore, Brett Grim, Matthew Laubach, Xavier Sprague, and Steve Young each recorded a single feature win.
Of the fourteen different drivers reaching the win circle, Bryce Bashore, Johnny Fugelo, Mike Toth, Mark Mohr, Brett Grim, Matthew Laubach, and Xavier Sprague were all winners for the first time in their career at Grandview.

A final wrap up on the Friday night Freedom 38 T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Sportsman Championship, saw several bonus awards paid out adding up to $3731 along with lap leader money totaling $1354, for a grand total of $5085 in extra prize money for the competitors. A final wrap up on the Saturday night Freedom 76 T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modified Championship, saw several bonus awards paid out adding up to $6721 along with lap leader money totaling $4292, for a grand total of $11,013 in extra prize money for the competitors. Grandview Speedway management has announced that the 2027 65th anniversary season of professional auto racing will open with the traditional Free-to-the-Public Open Practice on Saturday, March 27, followed by the season opening Money Maker for 358 Modifieds plus 602 Sportsman honoring both Bruce & Theresa Rogers on Saturday, April 3, 2027.
