$11 WEEKLY ADMISSION, DOLLAR NIGHT, $5 NIGHT PLANNED FOR FONDA

FONDA, NY – An affordable night of entertainment.

That remains the focus for management of Fonda Speedway as the 2020 race season approaches on the Montgomery County Fairgrounds track.

The BD Motorsports Media-led management team has announced the return of $11 Adult grandstand admission for standard weekly events during the ’20 campaign at the Track of Champions. Seniors (ages 65 and up) pay $9. Kids 11 and under are FREE.

“We were very pleased with the resurgence of fans last year at the speedway,” Fonda Speedway promoter Brett Deyo said. “We saw some impressive numbers all year long and that was evident through our 50/50 winning shares. This season we want to continue our growth by giving families a night out at a reasonable price.”

Parks Companies has teamed up to present a HUGE $11 program on April 25 at Fonda. Sunoco Modifieds will race for an $8,000 top prize and fans will see no increase in admission!

After a massive fan turnout last season, the ‘Dollar Night’ is back on the Fonda schedule for May 9. This event features $1, yes $1, grandstand admission for a complete program including the Sunoco Modifieds. In ’19, more than 4,000 race fans turned out for the ‘Dollar Night’ promotion.

New for the ’20 season are two events offering $5 grandstand admission.

The first $5 Night is presented by Bob Hilbert Sportswear on June 6. The event will include the popular Hondo Classic for the Pro Stock division, a pre-race Fan Meet and Greet and NYSCCA Safety Awards. Fans will see a complete night of stock car racing for just $5.

A second $5 program takes place on Aug. 1 with a Sunoco Modified-headlined show that includes all weekly classes and the Four Cylinder Cruisers.

Select special events on the schedule do offer admission increases. The entire ’20 schedule has been posted on the Fonda Speedway website at: http://www.thefondaspeedway.com/2020-schedule-of-events/

Season passes for both the grandstand and pit areas and pit licenses are on sale. Access the forms at the following link: http://www.thefondaspeedway.com/forms/

PRO STOCK PRIORITY: $800 TO WIN WEEKLY, MORE INCENTIVES AT FONDA IN 2020

FONDA, NY – The full-fender Pro Stock division at Fonda Speedway pleases the crowd at the half-mile track week-after-week.

In 2020, the division’s drivers will be rewarded even more for their efforts. Through the assistance of a weekly Fonda fan who would like to remain anonymous, the Pro Stocks compete for an increased $800 to win every week at the Track of Champions. This move means Fonda Speedway is now the highest-paying Pro Stock venue across the Northeastern United States and Canada.

“We hosted the ‘Best of 8’ Series last year and paid extra money on those nights,” Fonda Speedway promoter Brett Deyo said. “With the help of one of our loyal fans, we will bump the winner’s share up to $800 every single night. We offered some funds on behalf of the speedway to join our sponsor making sure it could happen every Saturday.”

The total pay structure on a weekly basis for 2020 has climbed to $800 for the winner, $400 for second, $100 for 10th and $75 to take the green for a sum of $3,375.

The complete payout can be found on the Fonda Speedway website at the following link: http://www.thefondaspeedway.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/2020ProStockPayStructure.pdf

In addition to the bump in pay, a number special events have been added to the calendar for the Pro Stock racers.

$1,000-to-win events have been scheduled for May 2, July 11 and Sept. 18.

On July 4, the Pro Stock contingent will battle for a huge $1,776 top prize in the ‘Red, White and Blue’ special to celebrate our nation’s independence.

The traditional Hondo Classic race – featuring a plethora of bonuses and special awards – takes place on June 6. Twin 15-lap features are planned on Aug. 8.

American Racer, through distributor Lias Tire, returns with their giveaway program for the ’20 season. Twelve free tire certificates will be handed out to Fonda Pro Stock competitors through random drawings.

‘Cousin Luke’ Horning is the defending Pro Stock champion at Fonda. He received $1,500 for his efforts at the December Awards Banquet.

FUCCILLO AUTOMOTIVE GROUP SIGNS ON AS ‘HUGE’ FONDA SPEEDWAY SUPPORTER

FONDA, NY – Fuccillo Automotive Group will continue its “huge” partnership with Fonda Speedway during the 2020 season.

For the second consecutive year, Fuccillo Automotive Group joins forces with the Fonda Speedway management team for a multi-faceted marketing agreement at the legendary Montgomery County Fairgrounds facility.

Victory Lane at the hallowed ‘Track of Champions’ is a destination racers aspire to reach. Again this season, checkerboard square will carry even more meaning.

Fuccillo Automotive Group has signed on to present Victory Lane for the ‘20 season in memory of their longtime employee and avid race fan Mike Cole of Canajoharie, who worked at the Fuccillo Nelliston location. Mr. Cole passed away prior to the ’19 season.

The Wednesday, July 1 ‘Firecracker 50’ at the Track of Champions will again carry primary sponsorship from Fuccillo Automotive Group. The event offers $10,000 to win for the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco Modifieds plus lap money and other bonuses. The STSS Crate 602 Sportsman are also on the docket receiving a $2,000 top prize.

The ‘Firecracker’ went down as the race of the entire season for many fans last summer, as Stewart Friesen rebounded from a flat tire to pass Matt Sheppard on the final turn of the final circuit of the 50-lap affair. Sparks flew as the pair raced toward starter Joe Kriss’ Sunoco checkered flags.

Tim Hartman Jr. utilized his win in the accompanying Crate 602 Sportsman 25-lap main as a springboard to the STSS North Region championship.

The Fuccillo Automotive Group ‘Firecracker 50’ will be recorded for national broadcast on MAV-TV Motorsports Network, available to more than 35 million households across the country. Last year’s broadcast drew nationwide exposure for the speedway.

There’s more! Fuccillo Automotive Group will provide Fonda Speedway with an official pace truck for the ’20 season.

Fuccillo Automotive Group boasts 28 locations in New York State and Florida with brands including Buick, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Ford, Hyundai, Jeep, KIA, Lincoln, Mitsubishi, Mazda, Nissan, RAM, Subaru, Toyota and Volkswagen. To learn more, visit www.fuccillo.com.
