Riverhead Raceway owners Connie Partridge and Tom Gatz in conjunction with GM John Ellwood have announced the Islip 300 weekend will conclude with a $5,000 to win, Full Fender Fall Frenzy presented by East & West Pest Control for Street Stock type cars Sunday November 12th. Coupling Sunday’s event with the 7th annual Islip 300 on Saturday November 11th turns the weekend into the most lucrative in the 73-year history of the track. The Islip 300 Tour Type Modified winner will pocket $7,000.
While making the Full Fender Fall Frenzy announcement GM John Ellwood offered, “none of this is possible without the support of East & West Pest Control, they stepped up to the plate allowing us to pay a handsome $5,000 to the winner”. East & West Pest Control of Calverton offers solutions for pest problems and nuisance wildlife, came on board as a marketing partner with Riverhead Raceway through the track’s billboard program. An enthusiastic Ellwood continued, “for those of us around long enough to recall the big Street Stock events at Pocono Raceway, we are hoping to capture some of that magic. The Full Fender Fall Frenzy will feature infield pitting using the layout in place for the Islip 300, with racing and most special events completed by the second week of November, we’ve opened up the rules allowing New England, New Jersey and Pennsylvania teams to compete”.

All teams entering the Full Fender Fall Frenzy must run a Hoosier 790 tire on either a 7″ or 8″ wheel. Teams will be required to purchase a minimum of two Hoosier tires while allowed to purchase a maximum of 6. Engine rule details can also be found online, both built, and 602 Crate engines are permitted. Those opting for 602 Crate motors must have their home track seal in place.
Qualifying for the 24-car field will be via heat races. Ellwood additionally has made seven guaranteed starting spots available for 2023 track champions of Street Stock or comparable divisions from any track, asphalt or dirt. Qualifying details can be found on the track web page.
Registration for the Full Fender Fall Frenzy is free up until November 9th, after that a $150 fee will be charged to late entrants.
Joining the excitement Sunday November 12th are the Mini Stocks, Bock Auto INEX Bandoleros, Truck Enduro, 4/6-Cylinder Gut & Go Enduro and JuiceBox Racers.
The pit area will open at 9:30 am, drivers for the Full Fender Fall Frenzy 200 will have a mandatory driver meeting at 10;30 am. On track activity will commence with a 45-minute Street Stock practice session at 11:15 am with Mini Stock, Bandolero and Truck Enduro practice to follow. Qualifying will start at 1:00 pm with opening ceremonies to follow.
In the event of inclement weather, the Full Fender Fall Frenzy would move to Sunday November 19th. In the event of rain for the Islip 300 on Saturday, that event moves to Saturday November 18th.
