THUNDER ON THE HILL KUBOTA HIGH LIMIT 410 SPRINTS START THE ACTION ON TUESDAY

BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – The first Thunder on the Hill Racing Series special and a Saturday night twin-bill are next up on the racing menu at Grandview Speedway.

With yet another Saturday night NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series program getting cut short by rain this past weekend, Grandview Speedway management will come right back this Saturday night by continuing the very same program.

Since only two qualifying races were run as part of the regularly scheduled program last Saturday, track officials will be resuming this show on Saturday night June 1, starting off with T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman qualifying heat races number three and four.

These heats will be followed by four T.P. Trailer Modified qualifying heats, then a pair of consolations will be run for both classes setting up the main events.

After qualifying is complete, the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman will then run the 25-lap feature that was held-over from the May 11th program, followed by the 30-lap T. P. Trailer Modified feature, then the regularly scheduled 25-lap T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman feature race.

Everyone that was in attendance on Saturday night is reminded that all grandstand tickets and pit wristbands will be good for admission on Saturday, June 1, however those tickets and wristbands must be turned in at the ticket windows for new ones.

For anyone attending that may be new to the show, they will pay the regular admission prices with adult grandstand admission at $20, students 10-15 with ID are $10, while children ages 9 and under are admitted free of charge. Pit admission is $35 for NASCAR members and $45 for non-members.

Times for June 1 will also revert to the summer schedule with pit gates opening at 4 pm, grandstand gates opening at 5:30 pm, warm-ups starting at 6:30 pm, and the first race of the evening getting the green flag at 7:30 pm.

Grandview Speedway management will close out the month of May in a big way with the first Thunder on the Hill Racing Series program of the year, as Levan Machine & Truck Equipment presents the RichMar Florist Kubota High Limit Racing 410 Sprint Cars on Tuesday, May 28 starting at 7:30 pm with a rain date of Wednesday, May 29.

The program will feature the Kubota High Limit Racing 410 Sprint Car drivers participating in time trials and qualifying races leading into the 35-lap $20,000 to win feature race.

Some of the top point drivers in the Kubota High Limit Midweek Money Series points entering this event are Tyler Courtney, Brad Sweet, Spencer Bayston, Corey Day, Tanner Thorson, Brent Marks, James McFadden, Justin Peck, Parker Price Miller, and Cory Eliason.

Pioneer Pole Buildings has posted a $2000 bonus should the winner be a Pennsylvania driver.

Pennsylvania drivers looking for the bonus include Danny Dietrich, Freddie Rahmer, Anthony Macri, TJ Stutts, Tim Buckwalter, Kyle Reinhardt, Lance Dewease, Tyler Ross, Kyle Moody, Ryan Taylor, Tyler Esh, and Ryan Smith to name a few.

F&L doors will be sponsoring the Vintage Modified and Sportsman cars who will also join the racing program participating in a 15-lap feature event only.

On Tuesday, May 28 the turn one gate will open at 4 pm for advance ticket holders, while general admission tickets go on sale at 4:30 pm. Qualifying begins at 7:30 pm.

Adult grandstand tickets are $40, children 6-11 are $20, while kids 5 and under are free. Pit admission is $45, and no license is required. Advanced grandstand tickets for this event are available at www.tickethoss.com.

This past Saturday night the T.P. Trailer Modifieds were able to record their first feature since April 20, by running the May 11 make-up feature to start the evening’s program.

Jeff Strunk continues to lead the point standings following a tenth place outing last week, while Mike Gular has moved to second in points following a seventh place feature run.

Duane Howard sits third in points after rebounding from a feature mishap to score an eighth place feature score, while Craig Von Dohren sits fourth in points following his second place effort behind feature winner John Willman, Jared Umbenhauer sits fifth in points after a strong fifth place feature finish last Saturday.

The top ten in T.P. Trailer Modified points are 1. Jeff Strunk – 1025, 2. Mike Gular – 1004, 3. Duane Howard – 1001, 4. Craig Von Dohren – 955, 5. Jared Umbenhauer – 854, 6. Eddie Strada – 827, 7. Tim Buckwalter – 742, 8. Alex Yankowski – 683, 9. Kevin Hirthler – 681, 10. Jimmy Leiby – 665.
