FIRST EVER “SUMMER SIZZLER PRESENTED BY PINNACLE” SATURDAY, JULY 13, 2024
— $5,000-to-Win; $500-to-Start “Summer Sizzler” 80-lap race set for Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Evans Mills –
Evans Mills, N.Y. – (July 8, 2024) – The Race of Champions Modified Series is set to make it’s first visit to the “North Country” of New York and the beautiful Evans Mills (N.Y.) Raceway Park for the “Summer Sizzler” on Saturday, July 13, 2024 and defending Series champion, Zane Zeiner of Bath, Pa., will lead the Series to the event.
Zeiner, who flies under-the-radar, has been victorious and consistent for the past three seasons with the Race of Champions Modified Series. Some may consider 2023 his “breakout” year, but Zeiner has been a challenger with the Series for nearly two decades now, including winning the Race of Champions 200 at Oswego (NY) Speedway in 2011. His name is rarely mentioned next to the great performers of Modified racing, however he has had a consistent treat of top finishes throughout the past two seasons that his rivals have marveled at. It was that consistency that led him to the 2023 Series championship.
“We’ve been having good runs,” offered Zeiner. “We just keep working at it and working to make our racecars better. The Series is very competitive and some of the best racers are on it. We’ve been fortunate to hit on a formula that works for us and we are going to stick with it. We’re looking forward to the challenge of a new track on Saturday and we think it will be a great night at a great new facility for the Series.”
The race will be an 80-lap dash on the 3/8-mile speedway paying $5,000-to-win and $500-to-start for the “one-set of tires” race. The “Summer Sizzler” will be presented by Pinnacle Investments, LLC.
