(Stafford Springs, CT)—For the 2024 season at Stafford Speedway, the track’s premier SK Modified® division welcomed a new contingency partner in Schofield Springs.  Schofield Springs has been supplying each second-place finisher this season with a $150 bonus and with 9 races completed, SK Modified® drivers have received $1,350 from Schofield Springs.  With 11 races still to go on the 2024 schedule, SK Modified® competitors will be racing for an extra $1,650 from Schofield Springs.

“Schofield Springs is a partnership between myself, Chris Paradiso from Paradiso Insurance, and Scott Nigro from Aqua Pump,” said Larry McKinney, co-owner of Schofield Springs.  “We recently finalized our acquisition of Schofield Springs and we thought that with Stafford Speedway reaching over 15,000 people every week through FloRacing, it would be a great opportunity for us to be a contingency partner and get the Schofield Springs name out there and that we offer pure spring water at a fair price.”

Through the first 9 races of the 2024 season, 6 different SK drivers have recorded a second place finish.  Michael Christopher, Jr. leads all drivers thus far with 3 second place finishes and Marcello Rufrano is the only other driver to have more than one second place finish with 2.  Single second place efforts have been recorded by Troy Talman, Andrew Molleur, Anthony Flannery, and Michael Gervais, Jr.

About Schofield Springs

Schofield Springs is a self-service spring water vending machine that is located on River Road / Route 32 on the Willington-Stafford town line and it is available 24 hours a day for customers to purchase water.  The machine dispenses a gallon of water for $1.00 per gallon and customers must bring their own water jugs with them.  The vending machine accepts dollar bills as well as coins.

“It’s a self-service water filling station that you bring your own jugs to fill,” said McKinney.  “Schofield Springs is some of the cleanest water in the area, we had it tested when we first purchased it and we continue to have it tested.  It’s a dollar per gallon but with how the water dispenses, you actually get about 1.2 gallons per dollar and you can fill a 5-gallon jug for $4.00.”

The next Schofield Springs contingency bonus of the 2024 season will be paid out this Friday, July 26th for the rescheduled GAF Roofing Modified Masters.  Open Modifieds will join Stafford’s five weekly racing divisions with a 100-lap, $12,000 to win feature event.  Tickets for the GAF Roofing Modified Masters are available now online at StaffordSpeedway.com/tickets and tickets will also be available for purchase at the admission gates.  Tickets for the GAF Roofing Modified Masters are $30.00 for adults, $10.00 for kids 6-14, and free for kids 5 & under.  Reserved seating is priced at $35.00 for all ages and pit passes are $45.00 with a valid 2024 Stafford Competition License and $50.00 without a Stafford license.  If you are unable to attend the event, tune into the live stream on FloRacing, the official streaming partner of Stafford Speedway.  All tickets that were previously sold for the original date of July 17th will be honored at the gates this Friday.
