FONDA, NY – First one in.
Registration for the 2024 edition of the iconic Fonda 200 is now open for Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco competitors and the first entry has been filed.
Brandon Walters of Unadilla, N.Y., makes history as Entry No. 1 for the ’24 edition of the $53,000-to-win, 200-lap STSS Modified classic set for Sept. 12-14 at Fonda Speedway.
Walters, a regular competitor on Friday nights at Utica-Rome Speedway in Vernon, N.Y., made select starts at Fonda mid-summer with his No. 22. Walters is a two-time track champion at N.Y.’s Afton Motorsports Park.
Following Walters – just seconds later with an entry on record – was Fonda’s most recent Amsterdam Truck Center Modified winner JaMike Sowle of Fultonville, N.Y., driving the Alton and Carole Palmer-owned No. 76.
The first STSS Crate 602 Sportsman entry was filed by Walter Cook of Clifton Park, N.Y.

Since 1953, the “Track of Champions” Fonda Speedway has hosted the best in stock car racing. Under the management of BD Motorsports Media LLC, the speedway will operate weekly on Saturday nights from April through August plus several special events.
