Riverhead Raceway officials announced Tuesday morning that registration for the November 16th Islip 300 by HighMark Building Efficiency is now open and available for Modified Tour Type teams by visiting http://www.riverheadraceway.com.Registration is free of charge prior to Wednesday November 13th, a $100 fee per car number will be applies for late entrants.

Recently with Rich Gerbe of HighMark Building Efficiency announced as the entitlement sponsor of the 8th annual Islip 300, the winner’s share of the short track classic ballooned to $12,000. Increases for runner-up, $5,000 and third $3,000 are in place for the 2024 edition with fourth and fifth paying $2,500 and $2,000. Prior to Gerbe’s involvement, Connie Partridge and Tom Gatz had already added $3,000 for the 300-winner announcing a $10,000 winner’s share prior to the HighMark sponsorship.  

“We are looking forward to closing out our season with another exciting 300-lapper” GM John Ellwood stated while disclosing the entry procedure. “In the spirit of cooperation, we ask teams planning on running the 2024 Islip 300 by HighMark Building Efficiency to send along their entry as possible. We can then get a feel for how many Hoosier Racing Tires we’ll need, plus get a jump on other race day logistics”, Ellwood concluded. 

Matt Hirschman of Northampton, Pa is the defending race winner of the Islip 300 by HighMark Building Efficiency and the driver dubbed “Big Money” is surely licking his chops at a potential $12,000 payday.  

Modified Tour Type teams are reminded the 300 is open to drivers from any of the traveling series, NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, Race of Champions, Modified Racing Series and the Tri-Track Series. Teams can run cars meeting their home series rules, but when declaring a series must run those series specs to the letter.

Complimenting the 300 Saturday November 16th are the Eagle Chevrolet Crate Modifieds, INEX Legend Race Cars and the Eddie Partridge Vintage All Stars.

Camping is available with no charge, but is confined to the rear parking area of the property adjacent to the pit area.
