N. Woodstock, NH — With 2024 coming down to a chilly December end, White Mountain Motorsports Park looks back on a spectacular class of First Time Winners from the past year. It all began on HK Powersports Opening Day where this season’s Dads 4 By Tool & Supply Kids Division ‘wiz kid’ Hayden Bushey nabbed his first of four wins in the youth division this summer.
The month of June kept the trend rolling with Cooper Benoit and Jaiden Del Toro also nabbing their first Kids Division wins on June 1 and June 15, respectively. Patrick Switser got his eventual track championship run started with his first career Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Mini win to kick off the month, as did eventual Ammonoosuc Asphalt Mini Late Model Rookie of the Year Chris Moulton. Last year’s top Late Model Rookie Kyle Goodbout also nabbed his first career win in the Foley Oil & Propane Late Models on June 15 during the Father’s Day Special program.
July was just as good for the First Time Winner’s Circle. At the Foley Oil & Propane Midseason Championships, with double points on the line, Kaiden Fisher nabbed his first Late Model win while eventual champion Nick Miller also grabbed his first Mini Late Model win. The twin-feature Kids Division events both saw first time winners with Colby Stygles and Kiptyn Aldrich grabbing their first White Mountain checkered flags!
The next day was just as impressive as former Fisher Auto Parts Flying Tiger champion Tanner Woodard grabbing his first Late Model win on the White Mountain highbanks to earn a guaranteed starting spot in the Milton CAT Midsummer Classic 250. Also that Sunday, Hollis Center, Maine’s Jacoby Maines took down a popular first-career PASS Modified win.
Just one week later, top rookie ace and former Kids Division king Thomas Smithers, VI took down his first Foley Oil Late Model win as part of a midsummer modified special at New Hampshire’s Favorite Short Track.
August began with Derby’s Jackson Hunt taking his first Kids Division win in front of the packed American-Canadian Tour crowd during the Milton CAT Midsummer Classic 250. The second-generation wins kept coming for White Mountain’s rookie contenders as Colin Cornell grabbed his first Late Model win and both Landyn O’Donnell and Connor Rueda grabbed their first Strictly Mini checkers. A member of the Mini Late Models since the division’s inception, Orleans, Vermont’s Garrett Labounty finally took his win on August 17.
The final first time winner came on September’s Championship Night. Almost a year to the day since her career best run, Khloe Goodbout kept her foot to the floor and powered away with her first career win in the C.W. Gray Auctioneers King of the Kids showdown!
