NEW EGYPT, NJ – Twice as Nice.
Both of the premier touring Northeast Modified series will trek to New Egypt Speedway in the 2025 year.
The 2025 season opens with the invasion of the ‘Beasts of the Northeast’ with the Super DIRTcar Series (SDS) hosting the ‘Power in the Pines’ at the D-shaped oval.
The 75-lap, $7,500-to-win main event serves as the season opener for both New Egypt Speedway, and the points opener for the SDS on Saturday, March 29.
In the 2024 rendition of the ‘Power in the Pines,’ Walden, N.Y.’s Anthony Perrego made a late race pass of Binghamton, N.Y.’s Darren Smith to claim the victory.
Peter Britten, of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, completed the podium in the season opening event.
The event will be preceded by a practice night on Friday, March 28.
The Summer months, meanwhile, kick off at New Egypt Speedway on Tuesday, June 17 when the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco comes to town.
The STSS comes to Central Jersey for the eighth time in its history for a 50-lap, $5,000-to-win main event in another edition of the ‘Dirty Jersey.’
Pipersville, Pa.’s Danny Bouc took home his first career ‘Dirty Jersey’ triumph in the 2024 edition.
Bouc raced around Sprakers, N.Y.’s Stewart Friesen on a mid-race restart to take a lead he would never relinquish, as the 2020 New Egypt Speedway champion claimed his second career series victory.
Friesen was second and Covington Township, Pa.’s Alex Yankowski completed the podium finishers.
The event serves as part of the STSS South Region and the STSS Crate 602 Sportsman will join the midweek program.
