The KLAS Motorsports team is on their longest road trip of the 2025 season this week as they head to the Phoenix, Arizona area for the General Tire 150 NASCAR ARCA Menards Series race on Friday at Phoenix International Raceway.

The team has some unfinished business at the historic one-mile oval. Driver Andy Jankowiak made his Phoenix debut with the team last spring. Unfortunately, the #73 suffered from a flat tire on the first lap and the team went multiple laps down making a green flag pit stop to change it. Jankowiak finished four laps down in the 27th position, but was able to turn some top five race laps speeds throughout the event.

The drive out west will take nearly 2,100 miles as the team’s hauler will pick up I-40 near their Statesville, North Carolina shop and largely follow that road through mountains, valleys, plains, farmland and eventually desert until they veer off towards Phoenix after the New Mexico border. During parts of their drive, they will run alongside and near the historic Route 66 roadway – which is appropriate since Phillips 66 Lubricants will adorn the hood of the KLAS Motorsports #73 as a marketing partner for the race.

The familiar logo of Whelen Engineering Company will appear on the quarter panels on the #73 at Phoenix.

The KLAS team will also be supported by lineup of marketing partners that includes Acacia Energy, Automotive Consultants of Ithaca, Dak’s Market, Florida Safety Systems and Yukon Creek Sportsman Club.

In addition, the team is “Racing for Jeff MacRae” this season. MacRae is a concert photographer and friend of the team who is battling cancer. A get-well message for Jeff was shown on the quarter panel of the #73 car at Daytona.

The General Tire 150 is scheduled for Friday, March 7th and will be televised live on Fox Sports 1 starting at 8pm ET. It can also be viewed on the Fox Sports App.
