BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – Grandview Speedway is set to get back to racing action this Saturday with double the action and excitement hosting Twin T.P. Trailer Modified features!
The T.P. Trailer NASCAR Modifieds will be competing in TWIN 25 LAP features, plus the usual qualifying events, plus a full show for the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman with qualifying and a 25-lap main event, making for THREE 25-lap Feature races in one night!
Both of the Twin 25-lap features for the T.P. Trailer Modifieds will pay $2000 to win, plus the T.P. Trailer and Truck Equipment bonus of $300 making for a $2300 payday for the winner in each feature.
There is more! Should the same driver win both of the Twin 25’s, that driver would earn a bonus of $1000, making it possible to win $5600 for a sweep of the twin feature program!
It will be the first scheduled double –feature racing event on a Saturday night since the 2014 season, which saw Twin 20-lap features that were won by Doug Manmiller and Jeff Strunk, who will both be in action this week looking to do the same once again.
Looking back a bit in Grandview track history, Twin 35-lap features were run in 2013, won by Craig Von Dohren and Doug Manmiller, which were the first double features since the 2003 season when three sets of Twin 20’s were run.
Prior to these events, Twin 35-lap features were run annually between 1993 and 1998, while Twin 20-lap or 4 20-lap feature programs were run in the late 80’s and early 90’s.
The following will be the procedure for lining up the drivers for the T.P. Trailer Modified Twin 25-lap feature program:
Grandview Twin features Saturday…. Heats will be handicapped based on the points earned in the only Grandview race run in 2025. Drivers running their 1st race of the year will start at the rear. That program through the first feature will be a normal procedure.
Points will be awarded and recalculated for handicapping the second feature.
The top 16 from the first feature will be lined up by the recalculated points. ALL DRIVERS THAT FINISH THE FIRST FEATURE IN THE TOP 16 WILL BE HANDICAPPED.
The newcomers who might finish in the top 16 will have their point total from the 1st feature as their point average for handicapping. All others will have this week’s total and last race’s added and divided by 2 to determine their handicapping point averages. Lineup of top 15 will be low to high point average and 16th will go to the 1st 25-lap feature winner.
This Saturday night prior to the racing program will be the first Low Down and Dirty meet and greet of the season. The drivers scheduled to participate include Sportsman drivers Colton Perry and Mike Stofflet.
The pre-race Meet and Greet is held in the main gate area starting at 4 pm and is a great time for fans to meet the drivers up close, collect some autographs, take photos, and talk racing with their favorite drivers before the night’s program gets underway.
On Saturday pit gates will open at 3 pm, with grandstand gates opening at 4:30 pm, warm-ups starting at 5:30 pm, and the first race of the evening getting the green flag at 6:30 pm.
Grandstand admission for Adults is $25, Students ages 10-15 with ID are $10, while ages 9 and under are admitted free of charge. Pit admission is $35 with a license and $45 without a license.
