Riverhead Raceway celebrates a time-honored tradition Saturday evening when the annual Scout Night program is presented. All scouts, boy, girl, cub or brownie in their uniform receive free grandstand admission for an exciting night of NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series competition. The first Kid’s Big Wheel Race of 2025 will kick off the wall-to-wall racing excitement with seven great feature events lined up.

The Eagle Chevrolet Crate Modifieds take center stage on Scout Night competing in their second 25-lap feature event of the new season. Owen Grennan of Glen Cove, who scored his 23rd career victory on opening night will be back hoping for a return visit to victory lane. Cody Triola of Bay Shore hopes to go back-to-back in the 20-lap Blunderbust feature event as will the 20-lap INEX Legend Race Car winner on opening night, Kyle Ellwood of Riverhead.

Two feature events that many of the scouts in attendance can easily identify with are the INEX Bandolero Bandits and Outlaws. The INEX Bandolero competitors racing on the famed quarter mile are all in the same age bracket as the scouts who will be looking on. Mason Goodale of Riverhead hopes to repeat his Sunday afternoon Bandolero Bandit triumph, as does Thomas Grattan of Southold who scored his first career Bandolero Outlaw win Sunday. Both classes go to post for 15-lap Scout Night main events.

The wild and unpredictable Truck Enduro and 8-Cylinder Enduro machines hit the track layer in the program with Bobby Pease Jr. of Medford hoping to back up his May Meltdown Truck Enduro victory, as will Pat Collins of Southampton in the 8-Cylinder Enduro ranks. 2025 not only marks the 75th Anniversary of Riverhead Raceway, but it’s also the 40th consecutive season of 8-Cylinder Enduro racing. The first 8-Cylinder Enduro was contested on May 25th,1986 and won by Peter Verwys Jr, of East Rockaway.

General admission gates open at 4:00 pm for Scout Night Saturday. Adults are $30, kids 6-12 not part of Scout Night are $15, 5 & under are free.
