With the second half of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour season underway, the first of two remaining trips to Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park in 2025 is set for Wednesday night.

Justin Bonsignore enters the race four points behind Austin Beers for the championship lead on the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour. In 47 career Thompson starts, Bonsignore has the most wins of all active drivers – 14 – and is just one victory away from tying Mike Stefanik’s record of 15 for the most of any driver in the history of the Connecticut oval.

Wednesday’s Thompson 150 is race 10 of 16 on the season, and will be followed by another mid-week event at Richmond Raceway next Thursday, August 14. Bonsignore returns to the Phoenix Communications No. 51 for Ken Massa Motorsports.

“This mid-week Whelen Modified Tour race at Thompson in the summer is a staple event for our series,” Bonsignore said. “We’ve been fortunate enough to have some great cars over the years at Thompson, leading to success. We’re excited to get back there and keep the summer stretch going.”

Wednesday’s schedule for the Thompson 150 includes NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour practice from 3:40-4:50 p.m., followed by qualifying at 6 p.m. and the drop of the green flag for the Thompson 150 at 8 p.m. The event will air live on FloRacing.TV.
