Sophia, NC – September 30, 2025 – Tour-Type Modified entry blanks are now available online at CarawaySpeedway.com for the John Blewett III Memorial North-South Shootout in Memory of Charles Kepley. Now in its 23rd year, the Shootout remains one of the most anticipated events of the short-track racing season.
Scheduled for Friday and Saturday, November 7 & 8, the Tour-Type Modifieds will compete for $68,075 in posted awards, including bonuses. The winner will take home $10,000, with a $1,500 starting payout.
The North-South Shootout has a long-standing tradition of bringing together top drivers from north and south of the Mason-Dixon Line to battle for bragging rights.
“We’re gaining renewed momentum,” said Promoter Darren Hackett. “Entries are already rolling in. While we expect our regulars, we’re excited to welcome several first-time competitors this year, including Riverhead regular Max Handley, RoC competitor Sean Verwys, and New Hampshire’s Jeffrey Battle.”
Practice and qualifying will be held on Friday, November 7, with the 125-lap Tour-Type Modified feature on Saturday, November 8. Also on the schedule are:
