(Butler Township, Pa. 12-13-25) Evergreen Raceway is well-known for Drifting events and on Saturday afternoon when the final race of 2025 took place – the “Holiday Chill Enduro Presented by the Wire Guys” – it had some resemblance to a Drift thanks to the coating of snow that blanketed a good portion of the track and set-up some fancy driving in order to get around, although it was more chaotic then the graceful and synchronized style of the Drifters.

Despite plenty of slipping, sliding, and collisions among most drivers, Scott Adams of Lake Ariel skillfully navigated through traffic and maintained a strong pace to earn his first Enduro win in a dozen years.

The race was contested over a distance of 100 laps and Adams hovered within the top five throughout the first half, mainly in fourth spot. Ahead of him there waged a close battle for the lead between Dustin Roberts and Bryant Beach. Most of the span saw Roberts in control.

By lap 30 Adams, who had been in a tight struggle with Steve Tito and Brian Halecki, jumped up to third. He then began to quicken his tempo and over the next 10 laps had caught up with Beach.

As he hovered closely behind, Adams was bidding his time for just the right opportunity to make a pass into second.

The pivotal moment arrived at the midway point of the race. With calculated timing, he capitalized on an opening to move by. However, his momentum was briefly halted when a red flag was displayed, causing the field to pause. As the cars lined up for the restart Adams had positioned himself directly behind leader Roberts. When the action resumed he wasted no time surging forward and overtook Roberts to claim the lead.

From there to the finish Adams continue to pick his way past car after car with keen accuracy, although he would encounter a few close calls and some overheating problems during a few more red flag periods that was cause for some concern. However, his luck held steady and on lap 99 he was able to pass runner-up Halecki, which gave a full lap up and more on the entire field.

It marked the 40th overall career win for Adams at Evergreen, moving him to sixth all-time.

Halecki advanced to the second place by lap 67 and stayed there to the finish, holding on to the lead lap until the final go-around when Adams eventually got by.

Allan Such, who is always a strong performer in Evergreen Enduro’s, placed a solid third. TJ and Levi Vial completed the top five.

The race put the punctuation mark on racing in 2025 at the 1/3-mile paved oval. Enduro racing will return in early March to kick-start the 2026 season.

Feature finish (100 laps): 1. Scott Adams, 2. Brian Halecki, 3. Allan Such, 4. TJ Kapish, 5. Levi Vial, 6. Christina Bickel, 7. Austin Carey, 8. Charles Sherry, 9. Sean Casey, 10. Shane Corcoran, 11.
