EMPORIA, Va. – Former NASCAR driver and FOX Sports analyst Hermie Sadler will return to the track when he drives the No. 16VA for Sadler-Stanley Racing in the SMART Modified Tour powered by Pace-O-Matic season-opener at Florence Motor Speedway next Saturday, February 28.
Sadler, who is the co-owner of Sadler-Stanley Racing with Virginia State Senator and Attorney Bill Stanley, says his appearance in the No. 16VA will kick-off a season where multiple drivers will get an opportunity behind the wheel of the car.
“For our race team, obviously a great deal of focus will be on trying to help Luke Baldwin and the No. 7VA team win a third consecutive SMART Modified Tour championship,” Sadler said. “We are going to use the No. 16VA as an opportunity to put some different drivers on the track, both drivers on the rise in racing and some names that will be familiar to race fans. We are excited about the season, and I appreciate the support of Pace-O-Matic and our entire team for the opportunities ahead of us.”
The SMART Modified Tour 2026 schedule includes 14 events at 13 different tracks. All SMART Modified Tour races are streamed live on FloRacing.
Florence marks the Zach Brewer Memorial race. Practice is set for 11:30 a.m., followed by qualifying at 2:20 p.m. and the green flag at 3 p.m.
