(Stafford Springs, CT)—For the 2026 season at Stafford Speedway, hometown company McKinney Construction will return to the track’s contingency program. McKinney will provide a weekly $100 bonus to each 2nd place finisher from Stafford’s SK Light Modified feature events, giving drivers an extra $2,200 to race for during the season. The 2025 season at Stafford saw 12 different drivers over 19 races earn a contingency bonus from McKinney Construction.
“We’re happy to be helping out the drivers in the SK Light division for another season,” said Larry McKinney, owner and operator of McKinney Construction. “Stafford always provides exciting racing and we’re all thrilled to be part of that excitement for 2026.”
The contingency bonus won’t be the only contributions that McKinney Construction will make at Stafford during the 2026 season. McKinney Construction will return as the primary sponsor of Amanda West’s #15 SK Light car as well as offering support for SK Modified® drivers Michael Christopher, Jr. and Todd Owen, the Late Model car of Tom Butler, the Limited Late Model car of Jason Lafayette, and the open modified cars of Woody Pitkat and Timmy Solomito.

The first McKinney Construction contingency of the 2026 season will be paid out as part of the 54th Annual NAPA Spring Sizzler®, set for April 25-26. The NAPA Spring Sizzler® kicks off on Saturday, April 25, with feature events for the Late Model, Limited Late Model, Street Stock, and Granite State ProStock divisions, along with SK Light qualifying duel races that will set the field for an extra-distance 30-lap feature event on Sunday, April 26.

Sunday, April 26, will play host to the 54th Annual NAPA Auto Parts Spring Sizzler®. Filling out Sunday’s racing card will be qualifying and feature racing for the SK Modified® division, the 30-lap SK Light Modified feature, plus the NAPA Pit Party.
