EVANS MILLS, NY May 10th, 2026– The Evans Mills Raceway Park opened their 2026 racing season with Mother’s Day Weekend Presented by North Counties Supply, a wholesale building materials partner located in Philadelphia, NY. After a rain out on the original opening night on May 2nd, another threat of rain and thunder loomed towards the end of the evening. However, with six divisions of feature racing the show was fully completed and saw great racing action in all divisions.
Kids enjoyed time at the craft table decorating stained plastic window clings representing flower pots and other Mother’s Day designs. Six lucky mother’s also went home as winners of gifts donated by Esthetics by Marlee Jean, North Counties Supply, and EMRP.
The Excess Storage Thunderstocks kicked off the evening of features with two father and son combos taking the top four spots with fathers besting their sons in both instances. The LaFave Motor Sales Crown Vics made their highly anticipated debut as a new division at EMRP. Six new Crown Vics put on a heck of a show with three-wide racing at points and plenty of bumper to bumper action. The Jake’s Automotive Small Block Supermodifieds then kicked off their season of racing before returning to the Oswego Speedway for 2026. The winning driver Jesse Bearup is sponsored by family business Rt. 37 Building Supply who regularly partners with North Counties Supply bringing the evening full circle. The Christman Fuel Service INEX Legends saw thrilling racing with plenty of speed and improvement from younger drivers. The Kinney Drugs Modifieds boasted a full field of 24 modifieds and came down to tight racing in the final laps for the win. The Stewart’s Shops Sport Compacts completed the evening with a pair of brothers racing for the win just before heavy rain made an appearance at the end of the night.

Next week, the Evans Mills Raceway Park returns for CDL Driver’s Appreciation Night Presented by Christman Fuel Service and the Tyler R. Christman Foundation which supports local youth sports and scholarships. CDL licensed drivers may receive free admission the the event by showing their valid CDL at the box office window. Competition includes the Kinney Drugs Modifieds, Christman Fuel Service INEX Legends, LaFave Motor Sales Crown Vics, Stewart’s Shops Sport Compacts, and Excess Storage Thunderstocks.
