CONCORD, N.C.—Persistent rain forced postponement of Friday night’s North Carolina Education Lottery 200 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

The race has been rescheduled for 8 a.m. Saturday morning, to be broadcast on FS1, NRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.

Friday’s practice and qualifying sessions for the race also were canceled because of inclement weather.

With the field set according to the rule book, Corey Day will start the race from the pole position in the No. 7 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet. Day is taking the place of Kyle Busch, who died Thursday from a sudden, severe illness.

Busch won the Truck Series race at Dover on May 15—his series record 69th victory. Recognition of his monumental achievements in NASCAR racing and within the community will take place throughout the Memorial Day weekend.
