Spend Father’s Day with Us: Slate Valley 67 Set for Sunday (June 21) at Devil’s Bowl Speedway

WEST HAVEN, VT – Spend your Father’s Day with us.

Devil’s Bowl Speedway, the picturesque Vermont venue owned and promoted by Mike and Alayne Bruno, has hosted the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco each Father’s Day since 2022.

The tradition continues this Sunday, June 21 with the Slate Valley 67 featuring the HYTORC of New York North Region STSS Modifieds in a 67-lap, $7,567-to-win event paying $1,000 for 10th and $500 to take the green.

The event serves as the second HYTORC of New York North Region event this season after a thrilling debut for the series at Lebanon Valley Speedway in West Lebanon, N.Y., Thursday, May 21, an event won by Alex Yankowski.

Now, the Green Mountain State takes center stage for the STSS Modified contingent.

In four previous STSS appearances at Devil’s Bowl, there have been a quartet of event winners. Mat Williamson drove Jeff and Harry Behrent’s No. 3 to victory a year ago (2025). Marc Johnson earned his second career STSS win in 2024 over Matt Sheppard.

Stewart Friesen nixed an upset victory bid by J.R. Hurlburt in the 2023 edition, while Matt Sheppard was the inaugural winner over Williamson in 2022.

Joining the STSS Modifieds on the program: rescheduled Northeast Crate Nationals, Limited Sportsman, Novice Sportsman and Mini-Stocks.

Early hauler parking begins at 1 p.m. The pit gate opens at 2 p.m. Grandstand and infield gates unlock at 4 p.m. Hot laps hit the track at 5 p.m., with racing at 6 p.m.

Grandstand admission is $30 (Adults). Kids 12 and under are FREE.

Infield admission is $35. Kids 12 and under are FREE.

Pit admission is $45.

The event will be broadcast live on FloRacing (www.floracing.com).
